And there a pair of families vied For each possessed a vaunted pride. And each the other swore to hate For blood had written both their fates.
Yet still in midst a love then grew Pyramus son of one now knew The vaunted beauty rival claimed And Thisbe was the maiden named.
And Thisbe also surely longed To claim who's Pyramus the strong. And through a crack they words did speak Through Thisbe's wall they each beseeched
The other's heart to surely give To them alone as both now bid And so young love old souls befell Although against the vows they held
And both did plan to go and fly Away from place their families vied...
