Taehyung, who was initially a bit puzzled understood the whole situation almost immediately.

When he saw her struggling with the luggage in the airport, he just helped her with it. It was not something big though. He never imagined he would get himself a wife with that simple action of his. "What's the deal with the ancestral rings?" He asked somewhat curiously as he walked towards Jennie who blankly looked at him.

Grandma Jeon smiled, having a grandson-in-law of her choice made her quite satisfied with everything, ''You remember the small exquisite box I gifted you with?''

Taehyung furrowed his brows, "Ah...Yes, you told me to open it later..." At that time, he did not want to take it but the old lady was adamant about giving it to him. To not let his work get delayed, he accepted the box but he did not even have the time to open it later. After a few days, he forgot its existence.

Wait...it was so important that they were forcing Jennie to get married for that small box? Then, why must she give it to a stranger? His inky black eyes narrowed coldly... What if the man who got that box was not him and someone else? Would they have forced her to marry him?

He gripped Jennie's hand until she tried to struggle out of his grasp due to pain. "Taehyung, I don't want a fracture," Jennie softly whispered beside the man's ear when others were distracted in their discussion. She wondered if there was something wrong with him. What was he so absent-minded about? Here she was trying to get over the fact that the man she was desperately trying to escape from was none other than her husband and here he was, lost in his thoughts.

The man, sensing her struggle came back to his senses as his grip on her wrist loosened and his thumb lightly stroked the back of her palm. 'In-laws...They are your in-laws...You must not offend them...' He murmured again and again like a chant in his head.

''What were you so shocked about?" Old Madam Jeon asked as she nudged Old Master Jeon slowly. She did not even want to look back at the man until she heard her husband's voice filled with shock. It made her curious which is why she turned around. Later, when she recognized the man, it made her forget about it but now that she thought about it, why would her husband be so shocked...?

Chaerin speechlessly glanced around. There was still some mystery to it?

Old Master Jeon leaned back on the sofa, "Because I recognize him, he is Taehyung..."

The old lady scoffed, "As if I don't know his name, he is after all the CEO of Blue Star entertainment.."

Jennie, who was silent up to this point immediately understood what her grandfather meant. Why would he be shocked by the identity that is known to the whole world? Moreover, he called him 'Taehyung' with such familiarity.. that means he must have known his other identity...

''No, what I mean to say is that he is Kim Taehyung.."

''Of course, he is. His full name is Kim Taehyung,'' The old man was interrupted by his wife yet again.

He frowned, "Let me at least finish what I was saying. He is Kim Taehyung, the eldest grandson of Old man Kim and the elder brother of Lisa."

Chaerin, who was pretending like she did not exist sprang up from the sofa as she walked towards Taehyung, ''No wonder...no wonder, I felt a deep connection with you. You happen to be my sweetie's brother," she exaggeratedly said stroking the man's hair. She was of course excited as she wondered if the descendants of the Kim family were meant to be her beloved.

"Yes, Mom," Taehyung flashed his dazzling smile immediately capturing the heart of his mother-in-law. There was no hesitation in his tone as the word 'Mom' rolled out of his mouth. His imaginary foxtail swishing yet again as that handsome face glowed with cunningness while his sleek tongue did the best job.

"Oh~ my boy," Chaerin was on the verge of tears.

Jennie blankly glanced at the duo. For a split second, she felt like an outsider.

Chaerin kept looking at Taehyung like he was some sort of exotic treasure. After facing cold and indifferent kids like the Jeon siblings daily, she finally got two warm rays of sunshine in her life, one Lisa while the other one was this man sitting in front of her, whom she got to know today.

"_" Sunshine?!

Taehyung glanced at Grandpa Jeon, "Have we met before?" He had a good memory so of course, he was sure that he had never met with him. Then, how could he recognize him with a single glance?!

Grandpa Kim chuckled, "Of course not, but your grandfather is a close friend of mine," Though that old man is a stinky fox; he, of course, did not add the second part before he continued, "Maybe Lali has never mentioned, but she knew me very well even before marrying Jungkook. As for you, I have seen your pictures."

Nobody knew about the real identity of the CEO Kim of Blue Star Entertainment but he was well aware of it. Moreover, Taehyung rarely stayed in the country before the major incident that happened, which is why they never got the chance to meet.

Taehyung nodded. He was not surprised that his sister never mentioned it as they never got the leisure to sit like normal people and discuss life. So, how could they get the time to gossip? Moreover, why would she even mention something so unrelated?

On the other hand, Old Madam Jeon, who was in complete shock came back to her senses as she furrowed her brows, "That unruly woman is your sister?"

"Shut up," Old Master Jeon tried to stop his wife in time, he knew it would turn out to be a blunder if things continued this way. One thing was common in between his eldest grandson and grandson-in-law, that is, they won't take it lightly if anyone insulted Lisa.

But the old lady didn't pay heed to her husband's warning as she went on with her ramblings, "That woman.. who knows what tricks she had resorted to that my eldest grandson is seduced by her. She is just like her mother who forgot about all the rules in society and ran away with a man...."

Chaerin tried to stop her mother-in-law as she pinched her hand. The old lady was so immersed in her lecture that she did not notice it but the rest of the people in the room were not blind enough to not sense it.

They could see Taehyung's face darkening with every single word that he heard and his aura slowly transformed into something dangerous.

Old Madam Jeon did not care about anything at all. She shrugged off the woman's hand resting above her palm. Why hesitate in speaking the truth? A woman as characterless as Kim Goeun was a shame to the family or the society she was born in. What kind of daughter can a woman like her give birth to?

Disgust coursed through her face at the thought of it as she scoffed, "Huh... Kim Cheng used to be a proud man in university days, I wonder what was wrong with his upbringing that the women in his family turned out to be like this. As for Lisa, she would never be accepted as the granddaughter-in-law of the Jeon Family," She said as she leaned back on the sofa.

Even if Taehyung was the son of the same woman, it didn't make her dislike him a bit. As they say, the first impression lasts long, and it was exactly like that.

The first time she met Lisa, she saw the spitting image of Goeun in her, that exact face and that stubborn attitude that she once saw in that eighteen-year-old girl she met years ago. What made her further dislike Lisa was the way she rebuked her words, having her grandson wrapped around her finger.

The first impression that Taehyung left on her was that of a kind, humble and nice man despite his status; if only she knew that he was a whole different story than what she expected him to be.

There was no change in Taehyung's expression like what the old lady said did not bother him at all but his inky blank eyes were oozing with murderous intent.

Jennie stroked the back of his hand trying to wake him up from his trance.

"Get out," Taehyung's voice was barely above a whisper so much so that it sounded somewhat eerie in the silence of the living room.

Old Madam Jeon was stupefied, "What?" she looked at the man in utter disbelief.
