Miss Drapple here, (just tell me that name is SO cute) and I've been a Harry Potter fan for the longest time. I remember watching the series when I was small, and then I watched it again recently and I fell in LOVE all over again...
Hermione sees Draco Malfoy looking at her. Her heart, without her realizing, thumps with joy. He had ignored her for so many months, how come he changed his mind today?
He's not only looking at her, but smiling as well.
Why?
Whatever the reason is, Hermione's happy. She doesn't want to let go of this feeling. She smiles back at him, her face glowing.
"Did you just smile at Malfoy?" Ron asks, looking very puzzled.
Hermione instantly straightens her face.
"Did not," she mumbles, chewing her food.
"Did!" Harry whispers to Ron, and they both laugh.
Hermione glares at them.
"Wait, you don't actually -?" Ron says.
"Actually what?" Hermione snaps at Ron.
"You don't actually fancy him, do you?" Ron asks, looking into her eyes.
She remains quiet for a moment. Then she snaps,
"That's totally codswallop! I couldn't possibly fancy a boy like Draco Malfoy! He's far too...." Hermione pauses.
"Far too what?" Harry pushes.
She thinks of a word. Far too what?
Pushy? Snobby? Rich? Tormenting?
She can't find the right word.
"Forget it." She says, shoving food into her mouth.
"Slow down, it's Ron who should be eating like this! Since he eats like a pig!" Harry says, mocking Ron's eating habits.
Ron frowns at Harry.
"Not funny!" He says, shoving Harry.
