I shook my head and handed him the phone.
"THEY CAN'T TAKE YOU BACK! YOU'RE ADOPTED BY ME!"
"If they try hard enough they can."I said quietly.
He shook his head.
"What would they do?"
"They are very good liars Alex."
"You mean.."
I nodded.
My phone rang.
"Hello?"
"I'm sorry Lena.They just called like 10 minutes ago looking for you.I told them you were adopted and could not go back.They called the police station and said we stole you from them and sent you off and you were scared to death."
"What did the police say?Didn't they go to jail?"
"You know who you are talking about right? Your parents used your grandmother's money to get themselves out of jail."
"That money was left for me!"
"Yeah.The cops didn't know that."
"When do we go to court?"
"Next week."
I said goodbye and hung up. I wrapped my arms around myself and cried in my arms.I felt strong arms wrap around me.They carried me to my bunk.I fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up to find Jack sitting by me.
"Hey."I said.
"Hi."
"Jack...?"
"I need to tell you something."
"What is it?"
"Last night...I. ..I. ..I saw Chad.He...he was kissing another girl."
"Why!? Why can't anyone just love me for who I am and love only me!?"I cried in my pillow.
"I will always be alone."
"No you won't. You just haven't found your lost boy, your last chance, your better reality, your everything better plan, or your Neverland. But its coming Wendy.Peter Pan will find his way to you. It might not be now but it will happen."
I started crying.
"That was beautiful Jack."
"I'm beautiful Princess."
I punched him in the stomach.
