Jack
Alex said he had somewhere to go and that he would have a surprise for us when he got home.
"What do you think it is?"Zack asked.
"Food?"Rian said.
"Maybe."Zack said.
I walked back to my room and pulled my guitar from its case.
We share a two story house.Kitchen, living room, practice studio, and bathroom downstairs. Five bedrooms upstairs. A bathroom with each room.We have a pool in the backyard.
I started playing random cords from Stay Awake.
Alex
"Are you sure your ready for a responsibility as big as taking care of a 14 going on 15 year old girl.I mean your lead singer of a very popular band."
"I want someone I can actually call family.There is no one out there that I trust.I want a child."
"Then just sign here.I will go get Lena and tell her to get her things together."
"Wait.Can I go with her to help?"
"Of course."
I sign the paper and walk out to see Lena sitting against the wall.
She stands up and Shelley tells her to go pack her stuff.
The smile that flashed across her face was dazzling.
Lena
Alex came back with me.Everyone stared.They knew who he was and why he was here.My breath sped up.Alex noticed.
"Its okay Lena."He rubbed my back and I calmed down.
I packed my stuff which wasn't a lot.
"Here let me carry that."Alex grabbed the bags I had.My bag full of clothes and my bag with books and journals.
I climbed into the front seat of his car.
"I don't have to start calling you Dad do I?"I joked.
"No.You can call me whatever you want."
"Ok."
"So I share a house with Zack, Rian, and Jack.That won't bother you will it?"
"No."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Maybe. "
"Why were you put up for adoption?"
"Well...I don't want to talk about it."
"Thats fine."
We drove for a little while longer until we pulled up to a two story house.Zack, Rian, and Jack came outside when we pulled up.
"They don't know I have adopted you so..."
"Okay..."
We climbed out and walked up to them.
"Hey guys. This is Lena."
"Hi Lena."They said like the sharks off of Nemo.
"Hi."I said quietly.
"I have to tell you guys something."
"Yeah?"Zack said.
"Lena is my daughter now.I just adopted her."
They looked shocked until they broke out in smiles and Jack said
"Awwwww! Alex has a daughter!!"
