I had been sleeping peacefully until I heard whispered fighting.
"How do you know he is going to be a good Luna? You've known him what, a week?"
"You're out of fucking line." I hear Cain
"After everything? You just are happy as can fucking be?"
I sit up and look over to the voices.
"Get the fuck out of my room. You're out of line here and I won't tolerate it." Cain growls in the guys face
"Wont tolerate what? Disrespect? A month ago you were fucking my brains out and then just randomly dropped me. That's disrespect Alpha."
"You wanna pull rank here? I'll fucking pull rank Omega."
The guy looks at Cain before turning and walking to the door.
"This isn't over Cain."
"Out."
The guy leaves the room and Cain lets out a sigh.
"Who was that?"
Cain turns to me and shakes his head.
"Someone crazy." He says
"An ex?"
"Kind of."
He sits on the edge of the bed.
"We've known each other for years, he's always taken a liking to me and I can't say I didn't feel the same. We had a thing for a while but after my accident I started to get things together and I decided to end it because I really wanted to meet my mate."
I nod along listening to his explanation.
"I promise you there's nothing going on with him and I anymore. Like he said I dropped him a month ago."
I nod.
"Are you upset?" He asks
"No, just still half asleep." I smile
I wrap my arms around him and give him a tight hug.
"I know you didn't wait for your mate and that's ok. I'm not upset." I smile
He pulls back and looks at me.
"Have you uhm..done anything with anyone else?" He asks
"Are you asking if I've had sex before?" I laugh
Even in the dark room I can see Cains face tint pink slightly.
"No Cain I haven't." I say
He nods and smiles.
"Let's go back to sleep baby." He says
He lays back on the bed pulling me down on top of him.
I lay my head down on his chest and close my eyes but I don't even get to fall asleep because a loud alarm is set off.
Cain jumps up and holds me tight.
"Cain what's going on?" I ask, panicking
"I need you to stay here ok? Do not leave this room and do not answer it for anyone but myself." He says
"Cain-" He runs out the door and Devon slips in
"Devon? What the hell is happening!?" I yell
"Rouges. They made their way into our grounds." He says sitting down on the bed
"Rouges?"
"Bad wolves. Some of them are just lone wolves who are just doing their own thing but most of the time they're evil, angry things. They killed two of our men."
