By the end of second period I was ready done with this day. The teacher's so damn annoying and talks so much.

Walking out of the class with Cain he mocks the teacher making me laugh.

"He's so annoying, I should have thrown a text book at his head." Cain mumbles

I shake my head and smile.

Cain was walking me to my next class and I was sad that I didn't have it with him. Once we reach the classroom he stops at the door way.

"I'll see you at lunch ok? I'll find you." He says

"Ok." I say

"See you later pup." He says before heading down the hall

I blush at the nickname and walk into class.

I spot Kai and walk over to him talking the seat next to him.

"Hey." I say

"Oh hi." He says

I turn to him.

"About last night, I'm sorry about that I didn't think that-"

"It's ok, I understand. I talked with Cain and your secrets safe." I whisper

He lets out a sigh.

"So what happened? I had to bring him clothes and his car today." He says

"Uh he stayed at my house and we talked about stuff." I say

"So you're giving him a chance?"

"Yeah. He's actually quite sweet." I blush

"He has his charms, I'll give him that." Kai says

I smile.

"So you do realize that you'll be our Luna right?" He asks

"Yeah, I know. It's- it's a lot." I say

"You'll be a great Luna. " He says

I give him a smile. 

" I mean it you'll be a great Luna. The way you reacted to Cains wolf proves the point." He says

I look down at my hands. 

"You're also more talkative today." He says

"Less anxious. Still anxious but a lot less." I say

"Just know that Devon and I always have your back."

I nod and smile.

He turns away but a thought comes to mind.

"If you're the Beta, essentially Cains second in command why are you still friends with my brother?" I ask

"I became friends with him before that whole thing with Zade happened, Cain hates that I'm friends with him but Elliot has helped me a lot in the past. Though I'm a Beta I'm not as big as most, I mean I'm definitely not thin but no way in hell do I look like Cain so people thought they could pick on me because gay. Of course I fought back but Elliot was always there fighting with me."
