It is the best feeling to wake up on your own time; no loud banging on the door, no ringing alarm going off across the room, only the faintest quotidian sounds floating through the background. My eyes flutter open and I am comforted by the presence of Gavi, his limbs intertwined with my own, the crook of my neck resting on his outstretched arm. For a moment I simply admire the feeling of being held and feeling so calm about it. With Gavi, I never feel like I need to put up a barrier between us.

I take my weight off of him, leaning on my elbow. I look down at him and observe his calm features. He looks peaceful in his sleep and I wonder for a second if he feels as safe with me as I do with him. I hope he does. His eyes flutter open and peek up at me. He smiles once he registers my face. "Good morning mi Princesa."

I blush at the sound of his nickname for me in his morning voice. It's so raspy and attractive. I duck my head into his shoulder to hide the color in my cheeks.

His laugh comes out very breathy, his head turned so it blows into my ear. He moves his face closer to mine and brings his nose to my cheek. At first touch the contact is cold, but as he gently moves his nose against the side of my face to try to get me to move my head, I'm only trying to bury my head deeper.

He suddenly pulls away, figuring out his tactic isn't working. "How did you sleep?" he whispers while rubbing my back overtop of his oversized shirt I'm wearing.

I lift my head to see him again and set it back down to rest on his shoulder. "Pretty good. How about you?"

He smiles. "Amazing, best sleep I've had in a while."

I smile back at him before I realize we can't stay like this forever. I start to sit up and climb over him to get dressed.

He stops me while I'm hovering over him. "Where do you think you're going?" He looks up at me, waiting for my reaction.

As much as I want to collapse on him and stay there for hours, we've got places to go and people to see. "I've got to get back to Xavi's. I told him I'd watch reviews of the game with him before training." I get off the bed and find my bag on the floor. I start going through it, seeing what's wearable. As much as I love wearing Gavi's clothes to sleep, I don't think I want to start wearing them all day. Except maybe his hoodies. But then again, people could recognize them and start asking questions I don't have the answers to.

I finally pull out some clothes I can wear and look over to see Gavi rolling out of bed in his underwear. The conditions we changed in last night resurface in my memory and I wonder what Gavi will do this morning because of them. Last night I was exhausted and had definitely put my body through too much. A futbol game would have been fine, but a futbol game and a party, that's where the line is drawn.

Gavi goes over to his closet and brings out some clothes. He makes for the door without sparing me a glance. "I'll go over to the bathroom and knock when I come back, that way you can change in here," he informs me, reaching for the door knob.

"Oh so now you're shy," I tease with a cheeky smile. Him being nervous enough about the situation and not wanting to bring it up again fuels my confidence.

He looks back at me and blushes, his eyes trailing to the ground. His hand still rests on the doorknob. "You remember that?" he asks sheepishly, removing his hand from the doorknob to scratch the back of his neck.

I force his eyes to meet mine. "I wasn't drunk," I state.

"I didn't think you were paying attention."

"Oh please," I say, "you knew I was." I didn't know his face could get this red; even after games he's more pink than red. His eyes stray away from mine. "You have a nice ass," I add with a smirk, knowing I'm getting to him.
