Chapter 7 - Ravine

The jet landed on a big field. I thought the headquarters was located in a city. We got off from the jet and entered the headquarters. It was very modern. The building was made of strong steel. Everything was automatic. The door, the sink, even when we flushed the toilet! We were so tacky but the others took it slow. I looked at the ceiling. It's very different from the ranch. Then, I felt that I bumped someone. And yes, I bumped a person. He's not too tall. He had sideburns and a mustache.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize"

"Who are you? Are you the new servant here?" he asked me

"Stark! Mind your attitude. This girl is Ravine Anderson with his brother, Riley. They are our new member"

"Whoops, sorry kiddos. I'm very busy nowadays"

"You were busy partying, Stark" Clint said to Stark.

"Hey, Barton! You're alive! How's your wounds?"

"Fine. The boy healed me. He has powers to heal wounds in no time"

"That's great. Oh, we got the vibranium when we turned off the beacon. Banner is identifying it. And I think Nick is looking for you"

"Great, thanks for the info, Stark" said Clint.

We rushed to the main room. Steve and Nat left us when we arrived there. But before we entered the main room, Steve informed me something

"Hey, Anderson. I was thinking that your brother already proved his powers. Clint was healed. And you, I'll wait for you at the archery training station with Stark. See you there" then he left.

We entered the main room. It was full of agents using headphones working in front of computers. Then, we saw a man with a patch on his left eye. He looked scary.

"Agent Barton, nice to see you again" he shook Clint's hand.

"My pleasure, Nick. So, I bring new members for our group. This is Andersons. Brother and sister. The girl, Ravine, uses her bow. The boy, Riley, has powers to heal wounds. I was healed by him"

"So this is our new faces that you've talked about. Nice to meet you, Andersons. Nick Fury is here. Welcome to the Avengers. I bet Rogers is waiting for you at the station" he shook my hands and then Riley's.

"Nice to meet you, Sir Fury" Riley smiled.

"What are you waiting for? Go to the station, now. Agent Barton, if you please"

"I'll take them there. Come on kids" Clint led our way to the station. I smiled happily at Riley.

"Can you believe this, Riley? We're gonna be an Avenger!" I squealed. Riley smiled at me. We arrived. I saw Rogers and Stark there. Suddenly, Riley tapped my shoulder. I was shocked.

"I'm tired to see you aiming the targets, Raff. I'll check this whole building, kay?"

"Told you, don't call me Raff" I giggled "See you soon" He smiled and he left me.

My feet stepped the station's floor. The station was clean and neat. Inside the station, there was a very big glass with a view of a forest. Reminded me of the ranch.

"We meet again Steve, Stark"

"Oh, come on. Don't call me Stark. Just call me Tony"

"But you are older than me"

"Pffft. Just imagine that we're on a same age"

Steve rolled his eyes "Just forget about him. Now, let's begin your judgement day, kid"
