Chapter 6 - Riley

It felt like a lightning struck. I couldn't believe what I just heard. We were just a poor brother and sister without parents. And we couldn't just join a group full of smart spies, agents and heroes.

"No, we can't join the Avengers. You guys are very smart! We were just a poor kids without love from our parents and we don't go to school. Our lives are not as happy as you guys!" I shouted to Clint

"Do you think we have a great memories from the past? Do you think we were rich? Well, not all of us. Stark is rich. But, look! We struggled! Our pasts turns into something great! And I bet you guys too"

"You guys are lucky! We don't have luck like you guys!" Ravine rebelled.

"Your life is not determined by luck, but how much you've struggled. And you've struggled so much at your age."

We were all fell in silence. Ravine exhaled her breath and she got out from the conversation.

"Hey, where are you going, Rave?"

"Sleep. It's late already" she walked to her bed and laid down. She needs a rest

"I guess it's men talk. Wanna take a walk?" Clint asked me. I nodded. We walked out the ranch and took a light walk at the field.

"Do you know why I wanted you guys to join us?" Clint asked me.

"Why?"

"Because of your honesty. If both of you didn't save me, I'll be dead by now. But because of you kindness and honesty, you want to save me"

"Well, uncle Moore taught us to be kind to others, even though we don't have any neighbors"

"That means uncle Moore is a hero. He must be proud if you join us to save the world"

"Well, I..." I stopped and took a breath.

"I just love being kind to other people. But they never thanked me. Or even realized it! It just not fair and I can't accept it"

"It's okay. Do you think the citizen thanked us? No. They never. They never know what we felt. And that's the point. We felt what people don't"

The moonlight illuminated the darkness. We kept walking without saying anything until we arrived again at the ranch. We saw Ravine sat on a stack of straws, waited for us.

"I'll join" she said.

"What?" I surprised

"I'll join the Avengers. I'll protect the ones that I love. Just like uncle Moore protected us"

"Now that's the spirit!" Clint smiled.

"If this for uncle Moore and our parents, I'm in" I said

"Glad you're okay Clint. I saw that you were shot up there" a red-haired woman said. This must be Natasha Romanoff that Clint talked about.

"Yes, I was. These kids found me. This is Ravine, she can shot arrows like me. Ravine, this is Nat that I told you" Ravine and Nat smiled and they shook their hands.

"And this is Riley. He healed me in no time. He has powers. Riley this is Nat" Clint introduced me to Nat.

"Nice to meet you Ms. Romanoff" I shook her hand.

She laughed "Am I looked that old? Just call me Nat. Don't call me Romanoff"

The wind from the jet was very strong. A blonde-haired man got down from the jet. He has big muscles.

"Sorry, took a long time to get down. Jarvis missed his master"

"Oh you came here with Jarvis?"

"Yep. Who can fly the jet if it's not you or Jarvis"

"Okay, this is Ravine and Riley Anderson. Brother and Sister. They saved me back then. The girl have skills of archery. And the boy have powers to heal someone's wounds"

"Nice to meet you, Andersons. I'm Rogers. Steve Rogers. Your skills and powers, it's great! Do you think they can be our new Avengers?"

We surprised. I thought this man, Rogers. I thought there will be conflict when Clint told them about our powers and made us as a new member of the gang.

Clint clicked his tongue "You got me man. What do you think, Nat?"

"To strengthen the group, I agree" said Nat.

We couldn't believe it! It was a miracle. "Thank you, Steve! Thank you so much!" Ravine thanked him.

"Don't mention it" Rogers said to her. "But you have to show us when we arrived"

We nodded without hesitate. Then, we got inside the jet. Clint and Nat flew the jet to the Avengers headquarters.
