Ava's P.O.V.

No buts

I said pushing him out. Then my father came home. I heard the door slam so I knew he was mad.

I pulled Richard back in and shut the door quietly as possible. But then my dad came up to my room. I quickly tossed Richard a paper and pencil and told him to do the work I taught him. My dad knocks on the door. And I dashed to the door. I knew better than to keep my father waiting.

I told Richard to get up as I opened the door.

Welcome home father. I said bowing. Richard quickly followed doing the same. "Good afternoon sir," Richard said bowing at a perfect 90° angle. My father immediately took interest in Richard. "Ava who is this boy in our home? What is he doing here?" My father questions. Richard opened his mouth but I cut him off with a cold glare. Well, father, there was a new student in school a few months ago and we became friends just the other day and I had work today and forgot to tell him so he came here to see me.

I said as my father stepped closer to Richard and me. "Well..." My father said in an unreadable tone. "What's his name." My father said. "My name is Richard sir." Richard quickly responded. "Well, Richard care to join us for dinner?" My father offered. Richard looked at me and I looked away to say it's up to you. Richard sighs. "I'm very sorry sir but my mother wants me back soon and I wouldn't want to burden you both with cooking another meal." Richard quickly said.

My father just laughs. "You wouldn't be a burden to us. I love the company." I knew that was a lie. So I looked at Richard with a look that said 'you need to go' So Richard told my father that he will ask his mom if he could. And she said no. So Richard left. My father was furious.

*Timeskip*

Richard's P.O.V.

MOM I'M HOME. I screamed as I walked into the house taking off my shoes. My Grandma ran over to me. " Richard mijo why are you so late, Everyone was worried." My grandmother said shaking her cane at me. Sorry, abulea. I had to check on Ava and got caught up in something. I apologized. My little sister came in. "Ooh, who is ava Richard?" Charlotte asked. Go away charlotte she isn't important. I said slightly blushing. My uncle came in laughing. "Richard who's gotten your heart?" He laughed. My grandmother smacked him with her cane. "Luis! Dejalo en Paz. Ya esta estresado. Ve a ayudar a tu hermana a poner al mesa. Vamanos!" (Leave him alone. He is already stressed. Go help your sister with setting the table. Quickly.) She yelled in Spanish.

Uncle luis rushed to the dining room to help my mom. Two minutes later the food was done. We had grace and ate. It was a content silence until there was a knock at the door. My mom went to answer it and it was AVA'S DAD. 'oh shit' I thought as I ran up the stairs and locked myself in my room. The next thing I knew I was about to be sent to Jesus or so I thought. Ava walked to my room door and knocked. "Richard it's ava may I come in?" I quickly answered with a No not right now give me a second. I cleaned my room and let her in.

Third P.O.V.

Ava walked into Richards's room. Richard closed the door behind her so their parents wouldn't hear them talk. "hey ava so how did you find where I lived?" Richard asked. "Oh, your mother didn't tell you? She invited us over for dinner." Ava lied. She had followed Richard home because her father wanted to make sure he wasn't an 'enemy'. Richard calmed down and took ava back downstairs. Ava's father was talking to Richards's mother and she gasped and grabbed her son by the ear and yanked him into the kitchen. "Richard. Did you seriously go to this girl's house just to check on her and then dip after her father offered you supper?" Richard replied with a simple "yes because she said if her father came home while I was there to bow and greet him and if he offered dinner to decline because her father isn't trustworthy." Richard said. He was greeted by Ava's father with a slap. "My daughter would never do that." He screamed. Both families were furious. It ended with Richard apologizing and ava and her father leaving.
