Life story: After your father died you set out on your own. You knew that your mother could take care of herself since she was a demon,  and so were you. Traveling on your own hadn't ended up being as exciting as you thought it would, though after about a year, things finally began to get interesting.

You were wandering in the woods, weaving through the trees but otherwise paying little attention to your surroundings. You probably would have fallen into a nearby well had a human girl not climbed out of it and bumped right into you.

The girl fell to the ground and backed up, staring cautiously at you, seeing if you were going to make a move. Instead, you just stared at her blankly, blinking in confusion. Could she tell you weren't human? "Are you alright?" you said unsurely.

"Kagome!" came a voice. You turned around to see an dog demon half-breed running towards you and the girl. Upon seeing you and sensing that you were a demon, he unsheathed his sword.

"Inuyasha, stop!" the girl cried. The half-demon let his guard down for the moment, staring in confusion at the human. "She bumped into me, that's it. She hasn't hurt me in anyway."

"That doesn't mean she won't try," Inuyasha pointed out.

"I don't intend to," you piped in. "It was an accident. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings."

"You're a demon!" the half-demon exclaimed. "You should be able to sense a human a mile away!" You shrugged. "Are you seriously that clumsy? How in the world are you not dead yet?"

"I'm plenty capable of defending myself," you said, your temper beginning to get the better of you. "Against other demons, or half-breed."

"I'd like to see you tr—"

"—Inuyasha, that's enough!" Kagome said, now back on her feet and giving Inuyasha a stern look.

"What? But she—"

"—Sit, boy!"

The dog demon fell face first into ground, grunting in what was either pain or frustration.

"Are you a witch or something?" you asked the human.

"Or something," the human said with a laugh. "So what are you doing here?"

"Just wandering around, really," you said. "I'm going to have to find a village to stay, though. It's getting pretty late." You looked at her. "Probably one where people don't know I'm a demon."

"You could come with us."

"What?!" Inuyasha exclaimed.

"I don't mind that you're a demon," she assured you. "The only people who will know are me, Inuyasha, and a few others."

"Kagome!"

"Sit!" Inuyasha face planted again. "So what do you say?"

You couldn't help but smile. You were always interested in the littlest things, and this strange human had definitely caught your attention.

"Sounds like a plan.

"So, what were you doing in a well? If you don't mind me asking."

"It's a long story..." Nonetheless, she told it to you as the three of you headed for the village, Inuyasha in silent frustration the entire time. The story was a fascinating one, and before you knew it, you ended up making an offer.

"I can help," you said the next day.

"What?" said Kagome.

"I can help you find the jewels and stop this Naraku person," you elaborated.

"Why should we trust you?" snapped the half-demon. "For all we know, you just want the jewel shards for yourself!"

"Isn't that what you want, though?" Inuyasha stared at you, his expression unreadable. "I know demons, and though you're a half-demon, I can tell you have the mindset of a demon. While some demons don't want the Shikon Jewel for its power, either because they feel they are powerful enough or they think it's a shortcut, there are others who want it. In the end, all demon want power, though how we plan on getting it differs from person to person.

"You, you have demon blood in you, and you and I both know that you can never be considered powerful and will never be respected by other demon unless you become one. So isn't that what you want? To make a wish and become one."

"You bastard," Inuyasha said, his fists clenched. Yet he made no move to attack you, and you knew why: because you were right.

"I don't want any jewel shards," you continued. "Using them for power is cheating, and it isn't real power, anyway. If you lose them, you lose the power. Real power is something that you can never lose, because it's a part of you. but there are other ways to gain respect."

"So then do you want to help us because you want to be respected?" said the other human woman, Sango. It was clear that she was skeptical of you, not quite pleased with your intentions.

You merely smiled. "No. I want to help because it's the right thing to do. I've heard of him, and I know he's dangerous. He's even killed some people I know. He can't walk."

"Well, it's okay with me, what do you guys think?" said Kagome.

The tension was palpable, but one by one, each member of the group nodded their head in affirmation until there was only one left who had not voiced their opinion.

"Inuyasha...?"

Finally, Inuyasha looked you in the eyes, and said firmly, "Just be sure not to get in my way."

You couldn't help but grin. "Wouldn't dream of it."

Abilities: dual-wielding (katanas); knife fighting (poison dagger); demon powers

What they think of you:

Inuyasha: I don't know what to think of her.

Kagome: She's really a good person. I don't blame her for getting mad at Inuyasha. He can be really frustrating sometimes.

Sango: I'll admit, I wasn't sure about her at first, but I trust her more now.

Miroku: A kind woman, though a little eccentric. She is certainly a lot less shy once you get to know her.

Shippō: She's fun!

Kikyō: I know little of her.

Kaede: I was somewhat surprised to see a demon come to the village, but she poses no harm.

Myōga: Ah, yes, I believe I am familiar with her family, though I have only met her once or twice, when she was with Inuyasha-sama.

Kōga: I don't care.

Naraku: Merely a minor interference. I will be able to handle her.

Byakuya: I don't know that much about her.

Kagura: One of Inuyasha's friends, I see. I'll admit, she's powerful, but not powerful enough.

Kanna: Her soul craves excitement.

Hakudōshi: I'll take her swords once she's dead.

Akago (baby incarnation of Naraku): She mistrusts even her allies.

Mōryōmaru: I'll crush her and that Inuyasha.

Sesshōmaru: For some reason she stands by Inuyasha.

Jaken: She is no match for—!

(Me: Okay, we're done here)
