Growing up in the Montgomery household was like any other trust fund family. Only thing that was different about our family was that me and James never had the luxury of knowing our mom.

It's always been me, my older brother James, and our father. As soon as James turned 18, we ran away. The first few months we were homeless, then he got a job and soon after I got one.

I could go into the very sad sob story about what we had to go through but I'm just going to skip it. Anyways the business that I run now is my pride and joy. Something I could always call mine, something I built from the ground up. I started from a small building and over the years I upgraded to the building I have now.

James has always been there for me and because of that he's the co CEO of Lifetime Investments.

"Earth to Lewis." I blink back to reality and instantly remember that I was in a staff meeting about our current... issue.

"I'm sorry what were you saying?" I look to the right of me at James who had just asked the missed question."We need more building security. If he knows where we are he's going to attempt to strike and ruin everything we've built." He explains with a look of confusion crossing his features.

"I just think we need to lawyer up, sir. If he has nothing to do with business and has no will, then we have the right to deny him entry. If he refuses to cooperate then we'll take him to court." I put my elbow on the table and rub my chin in thought as the people around me all suggest different ways to solve the problem at hand.

I nearly jump as James gently kicks my leg to get my attention."We can't let our deadbeat father take everything we've worked for. We have to do something and quick."

All of the voices coming from each direction and the frantic tapping of someone's pen is giving me the world's biggest headache."Meeting over, everyone dismissed." I stand up, grabbing all of my things and leaving the meeting room with everyone inside confused.

I can't show weakness in front of my staff and talking about this is not a subject I want to talk about."Lewis." Someone calls and before I shut my office door I turn and see James jogging over to me.

I sigh knowing he's still on the whole 'Father' situation."I have to get back to work." I shut my door but it's caught before closing and James pushes his way in. I sigh and give up, walking over to my desk.

James is a very persistent person. If he has a problem with something he won't stop until it's fixed."I think we should file  a restraining order." I scoff.

"Yea, because we all know he follows the law." My voice dripping with sarcasm as I put the password into my computer going straight to my emails and start responding.

"He's going to find a way to get what he wants and that's this company. Our money. I'm not letting that happen." He starts pacing the room and running his hand through his hair.
