"That dress looks so sexy on you."

My face heats up and I refuse to turn the camera back around.

"It's new. Got it in the mail yesterday." I did a little twirl, showing him the back of it, which elicited a deep groan from his end of the phone.

When I notice his obvious frustration, I lower my gaze to my phone screen, grinning knowingly.

"Halfway across the country, Serenity. It's torturous."

Giggling, I turn the camera back around and balance the phone on the create between my thighs as I start to slip on my shoes.

"I wasn't even teasing you. Genuinely I was only trying to show you every angle of how perfect the dress looked on me."

While looking down at me from his phone, his eyes roll and I catch a glimpse of emotion behind them.

"The actual perfection is you, Fiore. I think you forget that I've seen every inch of that body of yours."

Translation: Flower

Stopping midway through my struggle of tying up my shoelace, I feel every slope of my body tremble from heat and butterflies, consuming me like always. I couldn't believe he could have such an impact on me over the phone, let alone halfway across the country.

It wasn't even past ten in the morning and Silver had gotten under my skin so quickly.

"You're such a sweet talker, D'argento. I love it." I blow him a kiss through the camera, earning a subtle smirk as he continues to drive his way over to work.

"Only another week until I get to hold your pretty little hands again." He murmured more to himself, it still didn't make me love the words any less.

"How is it going with all that, by the way?"

He shrugs as he turns a corner, the phone tilting in that direction slightly.

"Same as usual. One useless meeting to the next."

"Where are you off to now?" Butterscotch claws at my knees for my attention, forcing me to pick him up and place him in one arm as I stand and hold my phone with the other.

"Meeting with an alliance. He's out of touch with the world, wish me fucking luck." His grumble makes me laugh, shaking my head at him as I grab my purse and pack everything I need inside.

"Please be careful out there, sí? Make sure those bodyguards have their eyes on you the whole time—

"Silver, don't stress. I'll be okay." I give him a hopeful smile, realising how the tables have turned.
