Stranger Things [Eddie Munson] pt. 2

After assuring everyone that it was okay to leave the armed, unconscious men and women to fend for themselves in the middle of the street, everyone piles into Steve and Eddie's respective vehicles to head back to your trailer.

When everyone makes themselves as comfortable as they can and you pass out drinks for those who want one, you take a seat on the middle cushion of your sofa between Robin and Eddie.

"Well, I guess I should start with the fact that my father is.. was Niklaus Mikaelson- the very first vampire/werewolf hybrid. He and his siblings were over a thousand years old."

"Holy shit," Dustin mutters.

"My father was not a very good man. In fact, he was the worst. He made enemies left and right, and killed without remorse. He was the most feared supernatural being in existence and to this day, the name Mikaelson strikes fear in those in the supernatural world."

"Uh, question," Lucas says as he hesitantly raises his hand. "If your dad was technically dead, being a vampire and all, how did you come about?"

"The witches of New Orleans we're going through an ordeal with a vampire who took charge of the Quarter. He wouldn't let them practice magic, and if they did there were dire consequences. So, to take out the vampire, they sought out someone bigger and badder."

"Your father," Robin realizes.

You smile at her and nod. "My father. After a one-night stand with my mother, the witches secretly worked their magic and made it so my mom was knocked up. Then they basically held my mother hostage and made my father do their bidding after making him realize he was to be a father."

"That mustn't have ended well for the witches," Will says.

"It didn't. One baby was against Nature itself, but two?" You scoff. "They thought us abominations. So when they tried to sacrifice us after they got what they wanted, my family did what they had to do to remind the supernatural community that you don't mess with a Mikaelson."

"What really happened to your parents?"

"Uh.." You trail off and take a moment to collect yourself. You're surprised when a hand slides into yours for support and you briefly glance at Eddie who urges you to continue. "These vampires came to town looking to harm my father which was nothing new, but they ended up kidnapping me and my sister. My mom was drugged and tortured, and in the end she sacrificed her life for ours. Her death then led to the events that would eventually trigger my and my sister's werewolf curse, thus making us hybrids."

"What about your father?" Mike asks.

"My twin and I were cursed with an evil so vile that if not taken care of, we'd have caused a lot of destruction. So to save us, and the world, my father and uncle Elijah took that evil within themselves before taking their own lives to let the evil die with them."

"Jesus.." Eddie exhales in disbelief.

"My sister and I stayed at our boarding school pretty much 24/7 after that. We couldn't stand to be in New Orleans, but our school was constantly under attack by monster after monster. Eventually one monster came about- a monster called Malivore. And the only way to defeat him would be the blood of a tribrid."

Dustin gasps. "Is that why.."

"No." You huff a laugh. "Growing up, my sister Hope was the one told she'd accomplished great things- that she'd be the most powerful. And she believed them. So, with that running through her mind, she came to the conclusion that she had to become the tribrid to defeat Malivore. Our aunt Freya made absolutely sure that's what she wanted before putting my sister to sleep and then magically stopping her heart. Hope died.. and then woke up in transition. A sip of human blood later and she was the first ever tribrid."
