Chapter 10

My seemingly endless dreams fade as I come back into reality. I feel warm and comfortable, wrapped around in something soft. My eyes flutter open as I cannot keep them closed. I fear that if I close them again, I will be put through more of those trials. When my eyelids open, they briefly stare into a bright light of a ceiling fan. I avert my gaze to my left side, turning my head to see the closed door. I feel oddly uncomfortable. It's the closed door that's bothering me, not the fact that I am in an uncomfortable situation. I should feel safe as they provide protection and safety.. But I only feel locked in. The fear of the unknowing. That exact fear of not knowing what awaits me behind the door... Or in my room.

The only thing keeping me calm right now is the warmth of the blankets and the thought of being alone. I need to be alone for a while. Please let me be alone.

Wrong.

I move my head to the other side and see someone looking back at me, smirking. I gasp, for I cannot speak or say anything at all still.

"Well that was no fun. I usually like my victims awake." He said to me.

I freeze up with not knowing what to do. I open my mouth, but no words come out. Questions pass in and out through my head, trying to think of reasons why he would be here. In my room. On my bed. 'Like my victims awake?' What did he do while I was asleep? What did he THINK about doing? You know what, never mind. I do NOT want to know. I look at him for a few more seconds before he gets a little suspicious of why I wouldn't talk to him.

"What's a matter? Cat got your tongue?" He says in almost a mocking tone. He laughs a little at his own joke and continues to look at me for a while. After that, he inches his way closer to me on the bed. Eventually he gets dangerously close, almost touching. A couple seconds pass by and my mind races to conclusions and different scenarios that could play out at this point. Maybe he could laugh and walk out. Maybe he will start a normal conversation. Maybe he just wants to cuddle up like he wanted to before I got hit in the head. Or maybe, just maybe... nawwh, he wouldn't do that.. Would he?

He climbs on top of me, grabbing my wrists so that I cannot fight back. He places them at the sides of my head, almost mocking me. My face contorts into mixed emotions as it finally settles on confusions and anger. I look at my surrounding to mark my bearings as I think of an escape plan. He laughs in victory and I take the opportunity to swing my legs to the side, to get my body off the bed. He quickly realizes this and puts his legs on mine. His knees toughing my outer thighs and his feet holding mine down. He grins a sly smile and slowly moves my wrists up above my head while bringing his head down towards mine. "Let's play a game, {Y/N}" He coos, his eyes locking onto mine.

I look up into his lustful red eyes. I admit, I am a little intimidated by this elf boy. I don't know what to do- or even think about him now. I first seen him as a nice, competitive gamer. Now he's.. A monster to me. Everyone is. Not like they weren't before, but they held back a lot yesterday, so I didn't get to see their true selves. I just hope their lies were not that far from the truth. BEN moves his head closer to mine, putting his nose on my neck. His cold nose sends shivers down my spine. This reaction was the one BEN was looking for and he moves his mouth to my ears. Before he could do anything, I turn my head to the other side to make his face move back from mine. He backs away a little and lets out a breathy laugh. He moves his head to go for my other side of my face. Before I could move my head back, he strikes, getting to his destination.

"I am a gamer, {Y/N}..." He whispers into my ear. All different kinds of emotions go through my body as his warm breath touches my skin, "I like challenges..."
