THE KIDS HAD JUST ARRIVED AT REGIONALS AND they had just opened the doors to the auditorium. They had missed the judges being announced, but just in time to see Aurel Intensity to perform.
They all filed into their seats, whilst having to watch the others on stage perform 'Jesus is a Friend of Mine.' It was a complete suck up to the judges.
They all danced upbeat and were so happy that it worried Rayanne. One of their moves was Jesus' crucifixion which turned her worry into concern.
Their number finished quickly. Everyone stood up a cheered. Alost a little too much. Rayanne leaned over to Santana and whispered, "Yeah, I think we have a chance this time."
After Aurel Intensity's atrocious performance, they could have a break with the Warblers' songs.
They sung 'Candles' by Hey Monday. It was a duet between Blaine and Kurt. Not only could Rayanne see that he was deathly afraid of singing in front of all these people on stage, but she could see that he was actually thrilled to sing it with Blaine.
Their second piece was 'Raise your Glass' by Pink. It was a classic party song. Although, the beginning didn't seem to be so powerful, but everyone loved it nonetheless.
As that song was coming to an end, New Directions was walking to get backstage for final preparations. Whether it was fixing makeup or warming up.
Rayanne was sat at the vanity fixing her mascara. The vanity was much nicer than hers. It had bulb lights and a mirror that was practically new. When she felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned to see Santana.
"Hey, are we going on now?" Rayanne asked, confused because it seemed like they had just gotten backstage.
"No, I just wanted to talk." Santana smiled and sat down next to her. "I really liked the song you sang."
"Thanks," Rayanne smiled. "It was about you, y'know."
"I figured." Santana took the mascara from Rayanne and held her chin to do it for her. "Even though you make me out to be such a wonderful and kind person, I think it'd make sense to have the roles reversed."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, you're song was about how much you loved 'the one who swallowed the sun' and you were the 'one who swallowed the moon' and basically you're at your happiest when around the suneater. But really, you're the suneater. I feel my happiest when I'm around you." Santana explained.
