he spoke to me

ALTHOUGH SHE WAS ALONE IN her home, she felt anything but. Because as she laid in her bed, darkness flowing in each and every corner, Petunia couldn't help but feel as if someone was staring at her — watching her from a distance.

And as if it gave her any ounce of protection, the blonde held up her glowing ring, pointing in every direction of her room.

Once over, twice back, Petunia scanned her room for anything out of the ordinary. And as everything seemed normal — she almost ignored the nagging feeling in her head. Though, she couldn't, no matter how hard she tried — and when she decided to check once more, Petunia stopped her movement — keeping her ring pointed at the farthest corner in her room.

She saw a silhouette.

Tall, lanky, and being as still as a board — Petunia thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. But just as she blinked, stopping her focus for a mere second, it had gotten closer.

Only by a step. But to Petunia, that was a step too close. And to make matters worse, it spoke.

"Lumos."

Though the word was unknown to her, she had quickly seen the affect — especially as she had to squint toward the blinding light.

Her hand was held up almost immediately, trying to cover the white glow of the light. But as it continued to shine, she felt helpless with her lack of sight.

and it grew brighter.

A throbbing pain soon hit her eyes, and as she winced in response — the shadow of the creature gripped her arm roughly, causing the girl to cry out in pain.

Because, this single touch caused more pain than Petunia had ever endured. And as Petunia withered in pain — not even feeling the tears trail down her fearful face, she screamed. But to her horror, no sound was released. Instead, a breath of air replaced it.

Petunia felt as if she had no control of her body, voice, or actions — and as the pale flesh trailed up her arm, leaving a deep and bloody gash against her skin — the girl internally squirmed as the hand reached her neck, giving a small squeeze.

"show me."

His voice was a mixture of soft and threatening — and as the words left his mouth, another quiet scream escaped her lips. Because those two words caused her head to feel two harsh, sharp jabs.

and everything stopped.

but it was all different.

An unfamiliar sight was seen from Petunia. A long table, the hissing of a snake, hooded figures. Each of the windows were covered with cloth, giving the entirety of the room an eery feeling. The air was thick, tension was high. Petunia could tell easily.

Every single person at the crowded table was sat straight and proper. Not one leg was crossed, not one hand left their lap. They sat patiently, as if they were waiting for something. For someone.

the doors behind her opened.

Though, she couldn't turn to see. Petunia was forced in her spot — her head staying straight. And as the footsteps continued to near, her arm began to burn deeply. But again, she couldn't move an inch. She let it burn.

And as the figure passed her, seemingly headed to the opposite end of the table — Petunia couldn't help but let her eyes follow every one of his moves.

He was limping, only slightly — but enough for her to tell. His pale fingers were firmly gripping the end of his sleeves, and Petunia swore if she looked closer — they were stained red. And his head, which was not covered like the rest, was held high — almost as if power radiated off of him.

Petunia watched everything, her curiosity growing by the minute. However, once the individual turned, facing everyone — she felt her heart beat faster.

it was the man in her dreams.

And as his familiar haunting smile painted his face, she almost shuddered.

his voice hissed as he spoke.

"The traitor was useful," He continued his grin, eyeing each and every person at the table, "We have their location."

And as if someone was standing behind her, a small whisper, so similar to the one in front of her said, "that's all I needed."

And Petunia's eyes opened.
