Roxy's PoV

"That's what I'm talkin' about," Jacob smirks sitting down in front of the fire, "A little pre-battle bonfire. Telling war stories."

Benjamin takes a seat next to Jacob, the latter looking around at the others vampires.

"Or just standing there like frickin' statues," Jacob retorts.

I watch Garrett rush in sitting next to them.

"Name any American battle. I was there."

"Little Bighorn," I say.

Garrett grins at me, "I came this close to biting Custer," He pinches his fingers, "But the lndians got him first."

I roll my eyes sitting opposite everyone else.

Kate appears planting herself on Garrett's lap, "Try Oleg's assault on Constantinople. He didn't win that one on his own."

The Irish clan join in, "If you're talking battles, you're talking the Eleven Years' war. No one does rebellion like the Irish."

I furrow my eyes, "Didn't you lose the eleven years war?"

"Aye," The man chuckles, "But it was one hell of a rebellion."

Rosalie climbs next to me, Emmett beside her, "How are you doing, Rox?"

I shrug, "I'm alright."

Ethan sits next to me reaching for my hand, "No your not. You miss Jasper, like I miss Alice."

I offer a small smile.

"We'll make it out alive," Ethan reassures his eyes offering a double meaning since he knew of Alice's vision, "Jasper and Alice will see us soon."

I nod resting my head on his shoulder, "Thanks, Ethan."

Not long after everyone has circled around the bonfire listening to Vladimir and Stefan telling there story.

"When we ruled, everything came to us. Prey, diplomats, favor seekers. Such was our power. But we never put on white hats and called ourselves saints."

Stefan nods, "We were honest about what we were."

"We sat still for a very long time. We didn't notice we were beginning to petrify," Vladmir mumbles.
