THE THREE PUT THEIR bikes in the bike rack walking into the entrance of the community pool, flipping their hoods of their heads. Jaydens hair sticking to her forehead from the rain.
"Excuse me." Max asked "No one in the water until thirty minutes after the last strike. And don't try and argue with me." the boy said in a monotone voice. "You wanna get electrocuted, go climb a tree."
"Yeah, we don't care. We're not here to swim. Or get electrocuted." Max responded with a nasty look "We found this." El said showing the life guard fanny pack to two young adults behind the counter. "Does that belong to anybody here?" Jayden asked "Oh, yeah. That's Heather's. I'll get it back to her." the boy said.
"We could give it back to her." Eleven suggested."You could. 'Cept she's not here." The boy explained. "Bailed on me today." The three girls turned to look at on another. "What is this? You girls want a reward or somthin'?"
Max shook her head "No. We're just.. Good Samaritans." the red head smiled at the older girl who returned it before turning around to see Eleven making her way towards the employees board. She grabbed her girlfriends hand making her follow.
They walked up to Heather's picture "Heather." Max said. "Do you think you can find her?"
Eleven looked back at the two lifeguards behind the desk before turning and ripping the paper off the bulletin board.
The three girls walked to the women's showers turning on each shower. Eleven sat in the middle taping some goggles so that she wouldn't be able to see.
The three say in the middle of the locker room surrounding El and Heather's picture.
Max and Jayden waited in silence only hearing the showers running behind them. "What do you see?" Max asked "A door. A red door." El whispered. Then once again it was quiet.
