Battle Droids and Secrets

The sound of gunship roar through the sky Anakin and Rex where talking strategy while y/n just listed and trying to compose himself for the possible battle, Anakin noticed this and gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder and a smile

Anakin: Don't worry just follow mine and Rex's lead and you will be fine
Y/n looks at them both and nods determined

Y/n I'm ready when you are guys

Anakin grins and taps y/n on the shoulder one last time Rex nods and puts on his helmet as the gunships begin to descend, everything was quite as they landed no droid insight which should be expected since the Separatists weren't targeting Ryloth but clearly something's changed, the platoon marches forward what looks like a canyon

Anakin: Watch the higher ground,it could be a trap

The clones start scanning the high ground
y/n watches on, he looks to his right when he noticed something coming, something big

Y/n: Is that a tank?!?!
Anakin turns what he's looking at going wide eyed in the Process

Anakin: Move!!!!!
Everyone jumps for cover before it can fire and bring down a stone pillar, rock began to fall taking a few of the men y/n managed pulling them to safety for a medic and thanks him for saving them, he nodded and worked his way to Anakin, battle droids came from behind the tank and began shooting the clones returned fire y/n, Anakin and Rex take cover behind part of the pillar that was brought down

Y/n: Wow that escalated quickly

Anakin: Rex we gotta push them back, y/n stay with me and will get out of this in one piece

Y/n: Will do

Rex: Ready General

Anakin hop's up on the pillar and activities his lightsaber start's deflecting blaster bolts, y/n see's this and joins in activiting his lightsaber showing its blue blade he grins and starts deflecting blaster bolts with Anakin, Rex order's the rest of the men to press the attack, blaster fire was coming from all corners of the battlefield the Jedi brothers pushed on destroying as many droids as possible, Anakin looked back noticing y/n shouting insults at the Droids every chance he gets

Y/n: Damn you guys are sooo slow, hah idiots how about you go get a upgrade on your processors you might be worth a challenge, wait one second thought no not even close

Anakin just grins at the slaughter behind him and y/n catch up once he was finished dismantling droids

Y/n: Sorry, I was busy

Anakin: Good to see all that training is paying off, scary how quickly though

Rex comes running up behind them

Rex: General the droids are retreating back to some structure ahead

Anakin and y/n looked confused

Y/n: Do they normally do that??

Anakin: No, most of the time there's no retreat

Rex: They would only retreat if there's tactical advantage

Anakin: Or hiding something

The 501st began pushing through the canyon with the structure in site, Anakin,y/n and Rex gathering round scouting out what the structure has in-store noticing how quiet it was they started to get anxious

Y/n: Where are they?? Shouldn't there be loads of droids left??

Rex: It's definitely a trap, there's a lot of room for them to manoeuvre specially look at those gun placements

Anakin: We don't have the fire power to take those gun's out, but we maybe able to distract them while we take them out
