To be honest, when Tommy agreed to put on the damn skirt, he hadn't expected the entire Twitter platform to lose its shit.

There was hate- obviously, there always was. But the sheer amount of clout once Ranboo posted the picture with a link to the Insta account... suddenly TheMiners had over a million followers and a whole lot of angry comments.

Real men don't wear skirts.

Tommy wasn't gay. He wasn't even queer, as far as he knew. He just wanted to stand up to some homophobia, and this is the backlash.

He lay in Tubbo's bed, him and Ranboo cuddled up on the other side from Tommy. He was in danger of falling off, but that was better than a cuddle-pile, he supposed. It was nearly two in the morning, but he couldn't step away from the #fuckgenderroles on Twitter.

Wilbur replied at some point to the tweet- Love the look lol, what's next? Mind if I join in?

More and more content creators retweeted and added their thoughts and support. A smile flicked across Tommy's face. At least he had his friends to back him up.

"Toms?" Tubbo's sleepy voice pulled Tommy from his thoughts. His best friend poked his head up groggily from Ranboo's softly snoring chest. "Get offa Twitter, bossman. Get some sleep."

Tubbo was probably right. Tommy shut his phone off, plugged it in, and soon enough sleep came for him.
