46. Beach Proposal

Third Person Pov

Mina, Y/n's friends, and both of their families are patiently waiting on the beach for Y/n's arrival.

"Nervous?" Momo asked Mina as she watched her pace back and forth around the beach.

"Hella nervous..." Mina was biting her lip, nervously.

"We got it under control, don't worry." Sana held onto Mina's shoulder to stop her from pacing back and forth. Mina nodded a took a deep breath.

Mina pulled out her phone and dialed Dahyun's phone number. She hoped for her to pick up and for the plan to go smoothly.

Dahyun: "Yes?"

Mina: "Are you taking Y/n right now?"

Dahyun: "There has been an hour delay in her shooting today so she won't be getting out until then."

Mina became stressed out as she held onto her forehead while calling Dahyun.

Mina: "Is there any chance it'll be longer than that?"

Dahyun: "According to Y/n, the director said they'd only be keeping ahold of them for an hour max."

Dahyun: "So, I think it'll be okay."

Dahyun: "Is it a problem to be an hour late?"

Mina: "Not at all, i'll tell the others."

Dahyun: "Alright i'll let you know when i'm coming with her."

Mina: "Remember y-"

Dahyun: "Yes yes I know, I had to rehearse this 20 times already because of you."

Dahyun: "Y/n want to go to the beach with me? I want to relax for a bit, to talk to you about my situation with Sana."

Mina: "Yes! Spot on! I'm counting on you Dahyun!"

Dahyun: "I got you! Alright, I'll see you later."

Mina: "Okay, bye!"

Mina ended the phone call as Nayeon and Jeongyeon walked over to her.

"What's going on?" Nayeon asked as she was worriedly glancing at Mina.

"She's going to be heading here an hour late because of her shoot." Mina said as Nayeon nodded.

"Alright, then let's inform everyone so they don't wait here for an hour without knowing the situation." Jeongyeon suggested to Mina as she agreed.

"Everyone! Thank you for coming today! I have some news. So, Y/n will be arriving an hour from now because her studio is still filming until then. So if everyone could wait, I'd appreciate it." I spoke out loud for everyone to hear as they listened and agreed to wait.

An hour later~

Dahyun texted Mina that she is arriving soon as Mina told everyone.

Everyone got into their positions as Mina stood in the sand.

When Y/n and Dahyun arrived, Dahyun was walking alongside Y/n to the beach.

Then, Y/n spotted Mina and her friends/family as she was surprised but confused.

Dahyun left Y/n's side and joined the others. Y/n continued walking gracefully alongside the sandy beach as Mina couldn't help but stare at her. Mina knew this moment was her only shot.

As Y/n approached Mina, a bit confused. Mina reached out her hand as Y/n held onto it.

"You look beautiful today." Mina told her, as Y/n smiled.

"What's with all of the decorations?" Y/n curiously asked, glancing down at the roses and the fake candles carefully placed on the ground in a heart shape.

Everyone realized that the sun was setting, They thought the proposal was nearly perfectly aligned with the decorations.

"Y/n..." Mina called out as Y/n faced her.

Then Mina got on one knee as Y/n covered her mouth with her hands as her eyes widened, she gasped in shock. Y/n's heart started racing like crazy, she felt like she could faint at any moment.

"From the moment I met you in the crept of that elementary school, saving me from those bullies. I knew you had a place in my heart." Mina held out her hand, patiently waiting for Y/n to hold onto it. As she did.

"It was something about the way you held onto my hand, refusing to let go and invited me as one of your own companions at the time with your beautiful comforting smile." Mina stared into Y/n's dreamy eyes as Y/n did the same.

"With my embarrassing self, falling from the monkey bars but with you to catch me in the end, you impressed me." Mina and Y/n chuckled at one another.

"From the more recent first meeting we had where you shared your true care and passion for your family and others as you interviewed for my company."

"You truly were the only one who could bring out the gummy smile in me for the first time in years." Mina grinned, her heart was racing.

"Since that time, we've shared a rollercoaster of adventures together, and no i'm not talking about when we went to the amusement park together. I'm talking about the years of ups and downs in our relationship as time passed by." Mina admitted as Y/n was smiling.

"And throughout it all, I've felt like the luckiest person on the planet."

Y/n was caught blushing like an idiot, this whole situation felt unreal to her but she loved it.

"Whether i'm angry at you because of work, annoying you with my terrible humor, and the cozy and warm moments we cuddle together on the couch, probably rewatching What's Wrong with Secretary Kim for the 40th time..."

Y/n became embarrassed by being pointed out but couldn't help but keep a smile on her face.

"Theres one unwavering emotion that runs underneath it all and that's pure, undeniable love."

Mina and Y/n stared at one another in admiration. Y/n was in complete awe over Mina.

"So today, I'm on my knee asking for a lifetime of that excitement and most importantly... love."

"I know it won't always be easy, especially if you keep waking me up at 5 am in the morning asking me to watch you practice your acting scenes. But, I know there's no one else i'd rather call my partner for this life and beyond."

Then Mina removes her hands from Y/n's as she reaches in her pocket and pulls out a beautiful wedding ring box as she opens it, revealing an extremely expensive diamond ring.

"Y/n, will you marry me?" Mina pops the question as Y/n couldn't contain her happiness. She believed this was the best day of her life.

"Y-Yes! I will! I'll marry you!" Y/n happily replied as Mina stood up and kissed Y/n.

The crowd around them cheered them, as they wished them all well. They heavily supported Mina and Y/n being together.

"She said yes!" Mina shouted in happiness, she couldn't hide back her gummy smile no longer.

Mina then went back in and kissed Y/n once again.

Mina and Y/n felt excited to finally be engaged to one another. After years of misunderstandings turning into love, they are finally satisfied to know that they both want to spend the rest of their lives together.
