Chapter Six
Lexi’s POV
There are many things you can do to please little kids. A game of tag or hide and go seek. Maybe a game of duck, duck goose. Or even a board game like Candy land. How we ended up doing a scavenger hunt was beyond me.
Kyle took it upon himself to make the list of things to retrieve, and the rules. You can only receive one thing from every house you go to. But anything you find on the ground is fair game. He also warned us about finding a few of the items at the beach, and to get here we must ride bikes.
“Melanie you can choose who you want to be on your team.” Kyle said. “Lexi.” She squealed pointing towards me. She tapped her chin twice before pointing towards the boys and saying happily, “Oliver.”
“Of course.” Mason pouted.
“Get over it lover boy. Melanie picked me.” Oliver teased.
“Whatever.”
“Here are the lists for the scavenger hunt. First one back to the house with all their supplies wins. Jackie and Brittany will be the judges. Ready set go!”

1. Red Crayon
2. Yellow Crayon
3. Blue Crayon
4. An eraser
5. A piece of paper
6. A cup of sand
7. A seashell
8. One leaf
9. A paper clip
