I wish I could live in my books
And not care about my looks
Then I would not have to care about my looks
I could live in my own little fantasy
Stop having to daydream
I could jump off rocks to swim in the clear blue sea
Wear my Chuck Taylors to the largest library in the country
Get asked by my favorite fictional character if I'm free
Fulfill my greatest dream that i've had since the age of 3 to meet my very own prince charming
Dance on a golden ballroom floor until the clock strikes midnight
Go to all the early Saturday Quidditch games to cheer on my favorite teams
Go to the bakery for some biscuits and hot tea
Maybe we could go hide in a tree and wait for someone to come looking
Stop by Hogsmeade for some candy
Run by the compound to train with the team and tony
Live on a private island with my close family
Become known as the liars by the littles
Make some new friend at the Glade
I don't remember their names
But I think they were Minho and Gally
Go book shopping with Hermione
Have a spa day with Esme and Rosalie
I wish I could go to Diagon Alley
With Harry and the Weasley's
Maybe even ask Ginny to the Apothecary
Get Mr. Weasley a rubber ducky
Pick some flowers with James and Lily underneath the Willow Tree
And to think one of us was lying
I'm even willing to go stargazing on the Astronomy tower with Malfoy
I want to join Peter Parker in Europe
Maybe even learn a new language with Bucky and the Maximoff twins
But they are all imaginary
Like they say
Mother knows best, listen to your mommy
Maybe if I did this could all be a reality
And not just a stupid fantasy from my favorite books
I think that many people will relate to this one in the fact that they read to escape reality for a short or long amount of time. That is how I interpreted this poem, wanting to leave reality and travel into the plot or live in the world of your favorite book.
Fun fact- I wrote this poem at 1:30 in the morning:)
