An eye for an eye

What an offer he had just told us. He wanted me, what did he want me for?
"Carlos, what do you want me for?" I asked trying to sound as tough as possible
He looked at me blankly and responded "an eye for an eye" this confused me.
I turned to Amanda "what does he mean?" She glanced at me and shrugged.
"I see your confused jack" Carlos shouted at me. How did he know my name? "You killed many of my men when you defended those people at the waterfall camp"
"Your men were killing innocent people!" I shouted with anger
"Those men hunted our kin for fun jack" the thought that those innocent men would do that startled me
"They would never do that!"
Carlos looked at one of his men and nodded. The man dismounted his dragon, the dragon had a huge scar On it's face and some considerable length scars assorted on its body. The man walked up to us and stopped about five meters away from us.
"This is Eric" Carlos told us from his dragon "he was hunted by the waterfall men" Eric then pulled his arm off. "They took his family and left him to die. He is now missing an arm" this thought made me sick to my stomach . Eric then put his arm back on and walked back to his dragon.
"I understand Carlos, but there is no need to kill them or me" I told him trying to plead my case
"Like I said,an eye for an eye, you killed five of my best men, you will now suffer the pain of five deaths" he turned to his men and spoke a different language. Carlos then looked back at me
"I am happy to make a deal" he said in a sinister tone "give me that young girl and I will return your friend"
In my heart I knew he was not going return drake but I had a plan
I turned to Carlos "ok I am willing to make that deal" Amanda didn't even protest, she knew that I had a plan
Carlos commanded one of his men to come and collect Amanda. Titan was getting nervous, growling as the man got closer. Phoenix, Amanda's dragon was also getting restless, scratching at the ground. The man who was approaching us had no fear, he seemed to not even worry about the dragons. He walked up and tied Amanda's arms together and dragged her back over to Carlos. Once Amanda got there Carlos turned to me and smiled. He glanced at one of his men and whispered to him. The man dismounted and slipped into the forest behind them. He reappeared dragging Drake by his hands and chucked him onto one of the dragons next to Amanda.
"Thank you for your donation, but I'm sorry I can't return your friend"
" I figured as much" I told Carlos with a straight face
"Well we must be off" Carlos said with a grin
At that exact moment I whistled. Mars, Drakes dragon shot up from the revine and started blasting fire everywhere, causing Carlos and his men to fall into panick. I took my chance and ran at the men, the dragons at my tail. I pulled my pen spear from my pocket and clicked it. The pen immediately formed a huge bronze spear. I sped up and held my spear infront of me. Mars was still blasting them with flames. The men were floundering around, their dragons just as confused as they were. I slammed into one of the dragons, my spear imbeading itself into its Neak. I pulled the spear from the dragon as it leapt up, scratching at the air untill it fell to the ground limp. In the confusion I looked for drake and Amanda, I saw them both running into the woods, the hands untied. Phoenix and Titan were fighting the two remaining dragons and winning. I then moved on to battle the two remaining men, the one with only one arm decided to come at me first. He held a silver sword and ran, he swung left and I ducked. He swung right but I intercepted the blow with my spear shaft. The sword shattered and the men lost all courage. He ran as fast as he could, I threw my spear as hard as I could. It soured through the sky and planted itself in the mans back with a sickening Clunk! The other man decided to have a crack at me now that was weapon less. I drew my knife from my hidden pocket, swiftly dodged his clumsy swing and plunged my knife into his chest. I pulled it out, walked over to the other man and pulled the spear from his back. Carlos glanced at me with a worrying look
"An eye for an eye" I said
He looked at me with despair and ran but was stopped by Phoenix and Titan who has also finished off their opponents.
"Have mercy" he pleaded with me as a final resort
"Tell me where you are keeping Lewis and I will let you live"
" Ok ok" he responded, obviously relieved "we took him to falcon keep, with the other boy Ricky, but be warned falcon keep is well guarded"
"Thank you for you exchange" I said to him with a sinister voice "but I must be off" I plunged my knife into his ribs.
