"What do you mean by 'you don't want to do this anymore?'" Gabriel growled.

"Exactly what I said, sir." Leo responded. "My girl doesn't feel comfortable with me smooching with the baker girl."

Leo pointed to Lila, who was practically clinging onto his arm.

"I'll raise up the price." Gabriel offered.

"Nope."

"I'll get Lila into the modeling industry."

"She already is."

"I'll give you one-hundred thousand dollars," Gabriel announced. "If you make sure Marinette breaks up with Adrien."

"Why? Are you looking for some negative emotions, Hawk Moth?" Lila smirked.

"How do you-"

"I know a lot of things, Gabriel." Lila walked up to him. "I even know who Ladybug is."

"You must tell me." Gabriel pleaded. "Please, I really need their miraculouses."

"Give me yours." Lila sneered. "If you do, I'll retrieve their miraculouses in no time. You have my word."

Gabriel was about to disagree when Lila said, "Obviously, you have to give me something in return."

She walked closer to him and whispered low enough so that Leo couldn't hear.

"How about your son?"

"No." Gabriel immediately disagreed. "Anything but that."

"Okay.." Lila tapped her chin. "We can compromise."

Gabriel stood taller than Lila, but somehow he felt smaller.

"Either your son," Lila offered. "Or Marinette's life."
