The Girl Who Cried Wolf

Introduction

A Year Ago...

It was a rather warm evening for early September,

The sun was setting and below was a beautiful forest, filled with life. The suns rays had covered it all, lighting it up almost like it was on fire. Lakes dotted here and there reflected the sky and the sunset like tiny mirrors on land. Birds called their evening call in the trees all around.

Will and i climbed to the top of the mountain, and stared at the view below.

Palm trees grew around us, taking risks to grow near the edge of the cliff.

I smiled, feeling the final warmth from the sun before night set in.

Will put his arm around me and a small smile appeared on his face.

I rested my head on his shoulder.

It always amazed me how we just seemed right for each other.

Two pieces of a puzzle that fit together to make something beautiful.

I felt complete with Will.

But that was all about to change.

I felt like nothing could ever ruin this moment, this chapter of my life.

It's amazing how one thing can have an impact on your life forever.

How one thing seems harmless until it destroys the thing you love most.
