*HU TAO'S POV*
???: "Director?... Ah, here you are Director!"
Hu Tao: "Oh, it's Old Man Zhongli, what brings you here?"
Zhongli: "Just Zhongli is fine. I've just come to notify you that I have finished my tasks for the day Director."
Hu Tao: "Oh? Well good job I suppose!"
Zhongli: "If I may ask Miss Hu Tao, I don't recall us receiving a new shipment of quill pens, is that a personal purchase perhaps?"
Hu Tao: "Hmm? Oh this? It was a gift I got from a new friend of mine."
Zhongli: "A new business venture then?"
Hu Tao: "Nuh uh! This one's a newcomer to Liyue... well, we think so anyways!"
Zhongli: "Oh?"
Hu Tao: "Yeah, turns out they have complete amnesia until the moment when they found themselves out in the wild. From what I heard them saying to my pal Xiangling is that they would've been Hilichurl-fodder if it wasn't for that new girl from Bubu Pharmacy!"
And there goes Old Man Zhongli again, with that typical pose of his when he's deep in thought... although, as much as it annoys me- he is incredibly knowledgeable on a huge array of topics: it's as annoying as it is useful!
Zhongli: "Hmmm... sometimes a person's memories may not be lost to accident or incident... hmmm... Miss Hu Tao, what is your opinion of this new friend of yours?"
Hu Tao: "Huh... Well, I suppose I'm kinda curious about them. And maybe my first prank on them was a little too strong -I didn't know about their amnesia at the time after all!- but still... they wanted to make sure there were no hard feelings and they gave me these home-made feather quill pens!"
Zhongli: "And did you mention to them about your interest in poetry when you first met?"
Hu Tao: "Oh? No I didn't. So that means... that they went out of their way to find that out too? Huh..."
