Elsa pov

On the train, Punzie and I explained to Anna all about "the terrible two." We told her how they bullied me and Punzie because we always got good grades, all the teachers liked us, and almost always had at least two books with us at all times. That's kind of why it was just me and Punzie. Punzie and Anna both knew about my powers. Jack and Eugene teased me separately because I always wore gloves. Personally, they are nothing but a bunch of slime in wizard form.

At Hogwarts, Anna went off with the rest of the first years. She made an instant friend with a curly red head. I smiled. Anna would be fine here. Punzie and I got in the carriage and set of to Hogwarts. I couldn't wait to see which house Anna would be in. I was hungry too.

Time warp

Dunbroch, Merida! The red head that Anna was with got called up. The hat was placed on her head, almost instantly crying out, GRYFFINDOR! Gryffindor cheered as Merida sat down.

Winters, Anna! She walked up, giving me a nervous smile. She sat down, hat on her head, and was placed in GRYFFINDOR! I cheered for her, knowing that was a good pick for her.

After feast in dorms

Punzie, Belle, Ariel, and I all had the same dorm. I knew Belle and Ariel, but not nearly as well as Punzie. I put on my pajamas and went to sleep. Maybe this year will be like last year-no one knowing about my powers except Anna, Punzie, and me. I fell asleep not long after the others, but with a nagging that something was different this year, but what I didn't know.

After classes I ran outside. I went to see Dumbledore earlier and asked if it would be okay for me to try and practice my powers outside. He said the idea was very good, and gave me permission. I walked around, trying to find a good spot for me to practice. I found a small meadow with trees surrounding it. I stepped into the middle and shakily took off my gloves. I laid them at my feet and took a deep breath. I rubbed my fingers and twirled my hands. snow gracefully spiraled off my fingertips. I stomped hard on the ground, covering it with a layer of ice. I skated across, spinning and twirling my hands and making snow fall everywhere. I decided I wanted to buld a snowman. I swirled my hands and a snowman soon appeared. I started to sing one of the songs I wrote a while ago:

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I'm the queen.

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!

Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well, now they know!

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door!

I don't care
What they're going to say
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway!

It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all!

It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free!

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry!

Here I stand
And here I'll stay
Let the storm rage on!

My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back,
The past is in the past!

Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone!

Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway!

I decided I'd done enough practice for one day. I stood in the middle of the meadow and thought of my family, the fun times building snowmen with Anna, and all the friends I had here. The snow and ice quickly melted away. I slipped my gloves back on. I heard footsteps. I turned and ran. Ohhh, I hope whoever it is didn't see that!

Back in my dorm, I settled down to do my homework. A few hours later, finished, I went up to bed. I should bring Anna there with me next time. We haven't really gotten together since the beginning of the year. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
