The Last Sex Tape
SEQUEL TO NOT SAFE FOR WORK (WATTY 2016!)
It's the summer of 2012, and the media's short attention span flitters between three seemingly unconnected stories: the U.S. Presidential election; the possibility, however remote, that the Mayan Apocalypse might just be real; and the rumor of a celebrity sex tape starring Dick Card, the billionaire geezer who hosts the network reality show "Greed." Against this bizarro backdrop, Heywood Jablowme (not his real name) returns to his old job as a reporter at The Daily Pornographer, the industry's second best trade publication.
Not that Heywood has any better offers. After a rough six months spent medicating his injured shoulder with medical marijuana and freelancing for Helen (formerly Sunny Day) at a survivalist rag called The End of The World as We Know It, Heywood is hungry for cash and desperate enough to think porn journalism might just be the ticket to getting his career back on track. Well, that's not exactly what Heywood thinks. But Rachel, Porn Valley's seductive and devious publicist, lures Heywood back with the promise of a scoop that could resurrect his career. All he has to do is break the celebrity sex tape story.
The only thing standing in Heywood's way is a gun-loving sex tape broker with delusions of grandeur, a down-and-out porn film editor turned survivalist, drunken Russian gangsters, the foul-mouthed Detective Boyd, a sexy grifter, Rachel's rumor-mongering, and a pesky little thing called the truth. Also, there are legal issues, ethical concerns, an embarrassing secret, and a shockingly well-hung Werewolf. Good thing Miles, Heywood's pot-dealing wannabe media mogul roommate, is there to help sort through the BS.
