Viviana is a human living with the Southern Zone of the city. With the views of Southern leaving her with poor living conditions and weak prospects, Viviana finds herself spending most of her days absorbing the frivolities of the 'Ruby District' within the Eastern Zone. She was content with continuing this danger-prone lifestyle until one fateful night, she takes along her room-mate Thana, who subsequently goes missing. With the guilt of leading her friend astray and into the arms of predators, Viviana searches Eastern high and low, knowing full well her neck is next on the chopping block. BOOK TWO of The City of Eternity Series. __________________________________ The City of Eternity was once a harmonious city named Barewood - a city filled with human life. A city of people working to live - office jobs, construction work, healthcare, grocery shopping, all of the things that go into living. This was until the emergence - the creatures that hid deep down below the city had risen after growing tired of fighting each other and begun to feast on the people above; both willing and unwilling. This went on for months upon months; people tried to hide, tried to protest, tried to offer slavery, tried to do anything except become a creature. Eventually, a deal was struck between humanity and both sides of the creatures. The city was split into five zones; the east was given to the vampires, the west to the werewolves, the south was kept by the humans; and the rich and important of those humans had taken the north for themselves. The central zone of the city was deemed "neutral" and would be reserved for work that concerned keeping the peace, and trade between the zones. Peace had been won. But everyone knows when the world has been revolutionised and "made perfect" there will always be someone unhappy...someone willing to take the win away. Can the City of Eternity survive another revolution? Or will it wither away like the origins of Barewood?
