In Night, the young Elizabeth Gold has ascended to the throne far sooner than ever expected of her. As the new Queen of Night, the duty to do what is best for the people falls upon her and when approached with the prospect of the Night Realm being reopened for the first time since The Heaven's fell, she is unable to refuse, naive to the possible consequences. In Day and Seasons respectively, the two bookworms Ash and Lucas find themselves closely entangled with the new young Queen, as their paths intertwine with each other. With Lucas and Elizabeth engaged to be wed in order to irradicate the laws which bind Night in isolation, tensions rise as love blooms between two of the newly formed trio members and secrets begin uncovering themselves, revealing darker intentions than previously imagined. It quickly becomes clear to the trio, Lucas and Ash in particular, that the wedding must not proceed. As riots of the people are ignored by the Day Governing Body and assassination attempts are made, it becomes evident that a mistake has indeed been made in allowing Lucas' father, the Governor of Day, to "re-introduce" the people of Night to modernised society. The leader of the totalitarian like realm, may not truly be who he claims and it is up to the newly formed trio to uncover the truth before it is too late.
