Rowan is a normal girl.. Goes to school, talks about boys, has a best friend and listens to screamo. But on her 18th birthday something unthinkable happens. A tsunami hits. But that isn't the unthinkable part. A mystery man saves her from the waves and the next day her gills and tail are a pretty big give away. She has to live life as normally as possible whilst being a mermaid and try to find the man who saved her without being discovered.

Humans are not what they were and life on land is not as glamorous as it was thought to be. That is until a certain smoothie maker takes care of him after he gets drunk. Day by day, said smoothie maker continues to reappear, taking Ren's heart with him. However their is a force rising from the sea, and it seeks to destroy the race that ruined it's ocean. There is a human that is the key to all of this, and the evil will not stop until it has revenge.
