Through relentless Ether exposure and inhumane experimentation, they were molded into something beyond human-beings capable of surviving within Hollows and wielding their power. But perfection was never truly achieved. Some subjects lost control. Some broke. Some vanished without a trace. And some... became something far more dangerous than intended. When a catastrophic incident brought the project to ruin, the truth was buried along with Old Eridu itself.
