This is how I tend to write anymore.

Love is a war zone,dodging bullets from each other or getting hit and shaking it off to keep moving. But sometimes..you get hit too hard to move.

The rain above your head. Think about it.

A NYC newcomer in the darkness of night.

Restless night and pain,they boil into words and darkness.
