Hey guys, this is my first story, so excuse the fact that it probably isn't great But I tried, and I've wanted to write a short story on here for a while, but I never had the motivation to do it So anyway, I hope you guys enjoy my first story

Circumstances lead her to The Mission of Hope where she encounters a handful of colorful characters including: Ernie, the father figure of the organization who is a former cop with a tragic past; Bull, the intimidating truck driver; Daisy, a teenage thief bearing a secret family burden, and an enormous stray dog trying to slip into the ragtag family himself. Day after day, as Coco tries to find her footing with this new group, she struggles to balance the dichotomy of her privileged home life with the hard realities faced by the Mission's clients who are struggling against circumstances as varied as the used furniture and bedding they leave with. This, along with the lives of the other Mission volunteers, fuels a story full of humor, unraveling secrets, and silver linings.
