But as Nanon approached his 18th birthday, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. I was proud of the young man he had become , but I also felt a sense of trepidation. Nanon was no longer the little boy I had cradles in my arms all those years ago. As I looked at Nanon now, I saw a strong and capable individual, ready to take on the world. And I knew that it was time for me to fulfill the dreams I had been holding onto for so long. Dreams that I had put on hold while I raised Nanon, but could no longer ignore.
