***Unedited*** A companion story to my novel Shadows May Fall. *Folks who have been reading along - you may have noticed that some of the parts have been unpublished (the ones set in 1904 and 1908.) The reason for this is that while I really enjoyed delving into the past with these characters and fleshing out Daniel and Lillian, they weren't really adding anything and coming up with a third one to fill the gap was just that -- filling the gap. I'll post them over at my website once this story is complete.

"It was an unsettled time, a time of conflict, war and change. In Europe, Napoleon, self-proclaimed Emperor of France was causing destruction and havoc wherever he turned his armies, threatening even the shores of Britain herself. The subjects of that country lived in daily fear of invasion by French troops. Though all of this seemed a comfortable distance from the colonies in the Americas, still it had the ability to affect and trouble those loyal subjects of the Empire most deeply. After all, if Britain were taken by Napoleon, what would become of her peoples even here on this far side of the world?" Mary is the beautiful daughter of an important government official in Nova Scotia. She has enjoyed a privileged upbringing in that colony, but even the daughter of a powerful man cannot be protected from all things. Her sheltered existence is thrown into turmoil when, while attending a social event, she becomes acquainted with the dashing Captain William Hargreaves. The handsome British Post Captain is wintering in the Port of Halifax prior to the Royal Navy's inevitable confrontation with the forces of Napoleon at Trafalgar. His path is clearly marked before him until he sets eyes upon the lovely Mary Hamilton, throwing even a man's best laid plans into disarray. With an ocean between them and the Empire at war, can the growing attraction between William and Mary survive such perilous times as these?

This is my personal story of realization that I am of alien descent, then living life on earth with this knowledge. Growing up in a small coastal village of Nova Scotia, it was quiet for most but not for me. These are true stories to the best of my recollection. They are always being added to as my journey never stops. I am making this work available to others so I can attract my tribe and send the message that we are not alone. Not even a little bit. World peace and love.
