In the tranquil waters of Hawai'i, Hokulani and Nikau wonder if it's possible for a song to go on forever. ***** For as long as Hokulani can remember, she's always felt like she's treading water. Everything she loves becomes a means to escape from what's happening around her or, worse, the unsteadiness of her mind. She even finds her passion for music slipping through her grasp, though she tries her best not to completely let that go. And even though the arrival of an up-and-coming musician from Aotearoa causes waves, she's unable to fully enjoy her life. Unable to release that breath she feels like she's been holding onto ever since her father passed away. When her family is hit with complicated news, the Kahananui woman must make difficult decisions for themselves, including one Hokulani isn't sure she fully understands. But even when their choices are made, they bring up memories they've all been trying their best to forget, forcing them to face the reality deep inside the family's hearts. Hokulani takes refuge in the comfort her shared feelings with Nikau bring, but just because she wants something, doesn't mean it's enough. She knows she has a lot to work through on her own, and with the understanding that his year on the island will eventually come to an end, the two of them spend endless nights wondering if they can somehow make a song go on forever. ***** 2025 AMBYS GRAND FAVORITE | contemporary 2025 ASTANIA AWARDS FIRST PLACE WINNER | wild card » featured on @wattpad @romance @ContemporaryLit @SocialThemes and @Ambassadors « All rights reserved © Stephanie Midorii, smidorii

How can Juneau Cortez not be romantic about baseball with someone as beautiful as Mykie Taylor on the field? ***** For Juneau Cortez and Mykie Taylor, Boston is the greatest city in the world. It's also where they're both stuck - Juneau in the shadow of her MLB player brother and Mykie as the Red Sox social media manager itching to get back on the field somehow. In this day and age, navigating adulthood and a career (or lack thereof) is more difficult than ever, and that's without the stress of adding romance into the mix. While Juneau wears her heart on her sleeve, Mykie's tossed hers into the dugout in favor of fulfilling her dreams. So what happens when they open themselves up to each other? Maybe everything they never knew they needed. That's romance, baby. ***** ☆ companion novel to SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW by @thaliagrace- ☆

And for the last time, I'm not going to do your math homework for you." ~ Lainey Yên Duong is the average Vietnamese teenager with strict Asian parents. She's always been surrounded by people who are similar to her, the ones who don't make fun of other people's food their immigrant parents make for their child's lunch. But as the Asian hate crimes in Lainey's area begin to become known, more of the world she entrapped herself in is revealed as a façade. Lainey now must face the reality of racism and learn how to accept not only her community but herself as an individual, Vietnamese teenager. ~ Published: 04/07/21

Everything is better fried. Vanessa Harper firmly believed this, but she hasn't allowed herself to eat anything fried for seven years. She wasn't going to start now. Not even if it was her favorite snack offered to her fresh by her crush with his megawatt smile. Maverick Evangelista volunteered to man the class booth for the Multicultural Food Festival. Any excuse to show off his cooking skills and eat his favorite after school snack, okoy, really. He knows it's a foolproof recipe-Filipino crispy deep-fried fritter made with various vegetables, who can resist? Apparently, Vanessa Harper. They've sold out two batches and she has not tried a single bite. Will he be able to break her out of her shell and get her to take a bite?
