fast forward .. after mario departed
we all had a hot bath .. freshened up
months in the mountains had us stir crazy
we couldn't hardly wait to get downtown
ordered drinks all around .. at the purple pig
turned out to be a wild hippie .. biker bar
a few scraggly bikers were hanging out
trying to mix with the cool, heady crowd
everyone there completely ignored them
so they took the situation to extremes
loudly challenged anyone in the lounge
to a friendly game of eight ball .. billiards
loser would have to slide down the long slide
top of the slide was bolted to the bar's counter
freezing cold water pool waited two floors below
viola nudged me .. saying you shoot him
I replied sure .. venecia stepped up
related she wanted to shoot first
I calmly sat back down at the bar
hiding my curiousity .. sipping my beer
I didn't know it at the time
venecia shot a pretty mean stick
after she'd clean broken the rack
she methodically took the big biker down
eight ball in the far corner .. it was all over
the big lug climbed the precarious steps
was over large sitting atop the thin slide
played it off as a harmless .. silly joke
much to our surprise .. his eyes grew wide
venecia shoved his bulk with her shoulder
off he went down the shaky slide
he reached out .. tried to grab her
smoothly she stepped aside .. giggled
the giant biker crashed in the ice cold pool
heard over the loud splashing .. he cursed her
clambering slowly back up the steps
treading water .. what seemed like forever
he sat hard .. heavy on a wooden barstool
squish .. icy cold water trickled in torrents
he smiled kind of crazy while we laughed
