"That's awesome Amélie! Soon you'll be able to go on stage! Don't worry I'll be supporting you! Don't forget me when you become a star."

I smile at him as I feel my heart swell. This is where I'm supposed to be.

"Hey Amélie, I have something to tell you."
"Hey (y/n) can I tell you something?"
We look at each other and laugh.
"You can say it first Amélie."
"Ok well you know how I said I had my eye on a certain someone? Well he finally asked me out! Isn't that great (y/n)? Gerard and I are now an official couple! I'm so happy I could scream!"
My smile may be big but it's all fake. Gerard isn't the man I love. I love you. please please tell me why. Stop me from living a lie. But you didn't, you just smile at me as I waste my love life away.
This was an endless road I didn't want to follow.
"Hey (y/n). Where are you going? I thought we were going to our cafe?"
He looks at his phone. Why does he have a suitcase. Is he leaving? No he promised to stay with me.

"I'm... I'm leaving France."
I couldn't believe what I'm hearing. He's leaving me. But he- he promised we'd be together forever.
"Leaving?! But why?!"
I-I no please! I can't lose him! There has to be something I can do to stop him. He's slipping away and I can only say what's been in my heart ever since he helped me all those years ago.
"Oh and (y/n), it was never Gerard I wanted to be the groom at my wedding. I wanted the man who's always been there for me, I just never thought you loved me."
He doesn't even give me a second glance as he walks away. I break down on the sidewalk as I saw the man I love leave me forever.

It can't be. (Y/n)?! He's alive. Last I saw anything g about him he was caught in a gang scandal and left for dead. I tried to find a body but nothing was left.

"He'd dead. I'm whats left of him."
"I- I understand."
Lies, anger, and fear kept us apart but are now the only things keeping us close.
"Why does it matter Widowmaker? (Y/n) did love Amélie but neither of them are here anymore."
My heart feels like it shattered as I hear him. He was my everything, we could've had a happy life. My anger became more then my sadness.
"Why did you never tell me! I loved you since we first went to our cafe!"
"I have nothing to say to you. Get your rifle and get to your position. We're on a job Widow."
"(Y/n)! I knew you better then you knew yourself! We could've had a happily ever-"
"You didn't know shit. I did everything for you, I was your 'man of honor' at your wedding because I wanted you to have the best life imaginable. I was happy for you, I was ok with giving up most of my life away, but to hear you say you loved me? That was just fucked up. If you really did love me you would've stuck with me, would've said no to Gerard, and you wouldn't have made me feel guilty for trying to move on."
My mistakes were mine but they made you suffer.
Everyday I saw him change. He wouldn't look at me, barely did any missions with me. I just want to forget everything we had so we maybe could start over. Please (y/n), I know we can have a future together. Just let me try.

I stare at him as I feel myself start to break on the inside.
"Everyday, I relive all my regrets in life. Most I don't care about but the day I lost you was the biggest mistake in my life."

"Stop! Just fucking stop!"
I take a hesitant step closer, it breaks my heart to see him break like this. He's holding his head and his eyes are shut tight. I don't think he knows I'm walking to him. I touch his shoulder and I see his eyes widen.
"(Y/n) I still love yo-"
A warm sensation takes over my chest. What is this, why does it, hurt so much. I look at (y/n) and see the horror in his eyes.
"I-I didn't mean to. Amélie. Fuck. MEDIC!"
I fall to my knees as I look down. A knife in my chest, not fully through but enough to make me bleed. My vision starts to go blurry as I try and find (y/n) but I'm all alone. A single year falls from my eye as darkness take over.
I try as I might but everything is never how you plan it.
"Baal! What in gods name were you thinking!"
I'm awoken from the darkness by quiet noise that gets louder.
"You could've killed her and compromised Talon!"
I can't wake up but I hear everything around me. Why is there so much yelling.
"I know sir. I wasn't thinking sir. I was in a state and I didn't see what I was doing until after it happened."
I try and move anything even a finger but my body is in too much pain. I let myself fall back to sleep even with all the yelling around me.
Now I realize it's too late
"Do you really think it was an accident."
"The way the knife entered her body couldn't have been anything other then an accident Akande. If Baal wanted her dead he would've been more precise."
"I want them away from each other. I can't have them killing each other during missions."
"Of course. I'll have Baal join the front lines instead of the ambush team."
I feel my eyes start to sting, but I keep quiet. No point in crying over what I can't control. Why does it hurt so much?
How can one sentence break every wall I created,
"Sombra where's Baal."
"Not here."
I glare at the hacker as I slow my breaths. I can't do too much after my surgery, thankfully nothing vital was hit but I still cant over exert myself.
"I need to talk to him."
"And he's on a mission. You can wait until later."
I growl and leave her room. I close her door but I stay near it as I hear Sombra answer a call.
"Hey, I'm working right now so you'll have to hurry."
"How's Amélie?"
"Don't know, I don't think Moira's let her out of the infirmary. Why do you care? Don't you hate her?"
"So what? If she died then I'd have to deal with talon because it would've been my fault. I could care less if she'd die on a mission but by my hands and I'm the one in deep shit."
I feel my eyes sting as I walk away from her room. Why can't I accept that he isn't the one I fell for all those years ago.

"Baal. How'd your mission go?"
"Good."
He walks past Sombra to goes to the medbay. I lightly pick myslef up as I walk to where he is.
"So Baal. How are yo-"
"DONT talk to me. I have nothing to say to the likes of you. You used me, made me look like a complete asshole, and when I was finally ready to start my life over and have my own happily ever after you tell me you love me? I don't know who you think I am but I won't be fucked over like that again. I'm in talon for the money and once I have enough I'm leaving."
He walks past me with heavy footsteps. My voice goes so quiet as I realize the sad truth. I never had him to begin with.
"I-I, I'm sorry."
That won't stop me from seeing the stars in your eyes or the love in your smile.
