"Congratulations!", was the word that everyone said to the Yellow Spark and the Red Butterfly. They stood side-by-side, hand in hand as they waved back at everyone.
After receiving the exhilarating news, Hayate kept a protective arm around Ichiko for the rest of the night. His palm would snake to her stomach throughout the night and Ichiko would slap it away from time to time. Hayate was bursting with happiness, the idea of a child of his own always intrigued him.
The fireworks kept bursting in the night sky, lighting up everyone's night. This was the first time in three months that a genuine smile found its way onto everyone's faces. Ichiko and Hayate kept thanking those who congratulated them, they would eventually come across two familiar faces.
The Red Hot-Blooded Habanero Kunoichi from the noble Uzumaki clan and one of the few remaining Namikaze, both had their hands hooked together as they walked up to them.
"Well well, who would've thought that Hayate senpai would get famous all over the village?", Minato Namikaze arched a brow suggestively, and Kushina Uzumaki poked him with her elbow.
"Well I suppose it was bound to happen eventually since I had Ichiko by my side", Hayate smirked, pulling Ichiko and his daughter closer.
"Hayate senpai", Kushina snapped him out of his trance, "you seem a little too thrilled about something, is there something you're not telling us?".
Ichiko and Hayate blushed instantaneously, the red tint was evident on their faces.
"And what would that be?", Ichiko scoffed nervously as she began to rub her neck. She slapped Hayate's hand away.
Minato and Kushina exchanged a shortcutted glance then Kushina raised a brow when she realized how nervous they were getting.
"Well? what's going on?", Kushina inquired as she studied their body language.
After fidgeting around for what seemed like two whole minutes Ichiko finally sighed and gave in.
"You two are among our trusted circle of friends", she began, "I suppose there's no point in hiding it from you".
Hayate also gave a sigh and gestured for Ichiko to go on. Ichiko gestured for Minato and Kushina to lean in as she covered the side of her mouth with her hand, whispering the very news that'll render Minato and Kushina appalled.
"A child?!", Kushina and Minato whisper-yelled in unison.
Ichiko and Hayate scowled at them, gesturing for them to lower their voices.
"No way!", Minato's eyes widened, still comprehending the news, " this child will have the speed of the Namikaze and the prowess of the Uchiha?!".
"Huh?"
"It might just become invincible!", Kushina remarked, her eyes traveling down Ichiko's stomach, making her blush.
"So you don't consider a child with the Namikaze's speed and the exceptional power of the Uzumaki to be invincible?", Ichiko smirked, crossing her arms over her chest as she arched a brow.
"Eh?", Kushina and Minato thought for a moment before they comprehended what was said.
Suddenly their faces began heating up involuntary and their tongues were knotted.
Hayate and Ichiko began laughing out loud as they stared at Minato and Kushina's faces. When the four of them stopped laughing all together Ichiko darted glances between Minato and Kushina then began, "Since you two were the first ever to know about this I was wondering if...you could be its godparents..."
"What?", Kushina and Minato asked, their faces contorted with surprise.
"Yeah", Hayate chirped in, "you two would be the best fit as godparents".
Kushina and Minato blushed, but then willingly agreed.
The four of them spend the rest of the night talking and chit-chatting about their experiences during the war as well as their dreams for the future.
Among those present on the Hokage's rooftop, was a man. A man with no name to be called with or identity to be viewed with. The origins of where he came from were bound to be unknown, yet who he works for can tell a lot about him as a person. After all, it's never a good sign when a member of Danzo's Anbu Black Ops is roaming around, gathering intel and listening attentively...
Hayate had offered to escort Ichiko to the Uchiha district, where they'd say their goodbyes in front of her house, which she dwells in alone, and exchange a few romantic gestures like a peck on the cheek.
"Goodbye, Red Butterfly"
"Farewell, Spark of The Leaf"
And they both chuckled at their nicknames before waving goodbye for real. Ichiko glanced over her shoulder, taking in one last peek at Hayate as he walked away further from her. Her hand rested on her slightly swollen belly and she whispered, "I guess it's just you and me now".
From the dark shadows cast by the crescent moon, there stood a tall figure observing from afar. Ichiko had already caught on, which is why she quickly whipped out three kunais and positioned them between her fingers. When he finally revealed himself, it turned out to be none other than Fugaku Uchiha.
"Lord Fugaku?", Ichiko inquired in confusion, a crease formed between her brows, " what are you doing here?".
Fugaku emerged from the murk shadows, his arms crossed over his chest and his usually stern face was on.
"To what do I owe this pleasure?", Ichiko questioned, except it was in anything, but pleasure.
"Ichiko", Fugaku came closer into view, the wind howled over their faces as he informed, "I figured that there are some things that you're still unaware of"
Ichiko squinted her eyes at him but gave him all ears.
"Now listen, you might've helped out a lot during the months of the war, but there's a problem arising and it's within our own barracks".
"What are you talking about?", Ichiko asked calmly as she suddenly began to feel her anxiety scatter throughout.
"I'm talking about your Mangeyko Sharingan", he addressed, making Ichiko feel more anxious. The pregnancy hormones were not helping at all.
"And what about it?", Ichiko held her breath for a second as Fugaku replied.
"Don't be so dense Ichiko, you more than anyone else is highly aware of the Uchiha's reputation among the village. What I feared most could happen", he said the last bit in a lowered voice.
Ichiko maintained her silence as she digested what Fugaku was saying.
"We both know, more than anyone, that there are still people among our clan that share the same dreams and beliefs as our ancestor, Madara Uchiha", Fugaku narrowed his eyes when he witnessed Ichiko's expression alter.
"It's true that you've saved a lot of your comrades back there on the battlefield in the Hidden rain, but let's not ignore the mere amount of our clan members who were present that day as well. They've witnessed what the visual prowess of an Uchiha can enable them to do and they've been brooding about it ever since", he asserted, overseeing Ichiko's countenance carefully.
"So maybe you are apart of the reason why the Tsuchikage had issued a truce and the war has stopped, for now, but you might have just started a spark among the Hidden Leaf which could eventually lead to a civil war".
The three kunais that Ichiko held tightly earlier had slithered out of her grasp and her eyes broadened.
"The Uchihas still hold onto the notion that one of their own might become Hokage one day, and if not willingly by the Land of Fire, then by making the Leaf succumb into submission. And we all know that's what Madara Uchiha planned to do since he unlocked his Mangeyko Sharingan. He utilized the power of the Nine-Tails to his will and battled Hashirama Senju".
Ichiko didn't know how to respond to that. Everything he said had no hint of doubt in it. If something like this is inevitable to happen, then she might be the sole person to be held responsible.
"This power..", Fugaku addresses as he inches closer to Ichiko and activates his Sharingan. Ichiko's eyes widened in disbelief when she witnessed the three dots of his Sharingan spin and form a new pattern, more sophisticated than her own, "It should've stayed hidden".
His eyes then lower past hers, and he remarks, "I sense the growing chakra inside of you". He then proceeds to lean in, close to her ear, and when Ichiko felt her body to be immobile in this current situation, Fugaku's breath was immediate on her ear as he inquired, "when were you planning on telling us about the crossbreed between the Uchiha and the Namikaze?"

A\N:- Who's enjoying these fillers so far? Who wants to go back to the present? Do you feel like you MIGHT wanna prefer this fan-fic over the original story? Who likes the events so far? Who's looking forward to the wild ride I'm plannin'. Okey, now I wanna rant:
I finished watching a total of 720 episodes of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden with FILLERS and I kinda feel dead inside. But I figured that I needn't fret cAuSe I cAn AlWaYs WaTcH bOrUtO. No, but for real I've heard people bashing the Boruto series, but I figured that I'd wanna watch it and see for myself if it's worth all the hate it's getting. Also, I've heard that Masashi Kishimoto is going to officially supervise the plot for Boruto from now on, and OH GOD. This could either be for the best or worst. OH GOD, I am crossing my fingers and praying to The Sage of The Six Paths that he wouldn't ruin Sarada and Himawari's characters as he did with Sakura and Hinata.
