Von and I walk through the model apartment with the lady that is showing us and I adored how nice it is . "Wow this room is so big " I gasp entering the master bedroom
"It's aight " Von groans . He's being so negative , this is the third apartment we've stopped at and he dislikes everyone . He was complaining about the smallest things .
"Yes the floor plan in this design is great if you want spacious rooms and breathing space " the lady smiles .

"Sound like some fraud shit to me " Von rolls his eyes . I discreetly hit him and the lady starts to laugh .
"So how much is it ? " i ask her
"Fifteen hundred a month "
"Unt Unt THATS to much Ken let's go " Von says trying to speed out . I pull him back and get excited
"That's perfect " I smile "especially for all this space "
"Okay but not for the risks of getting robbed in this neighborhood. I doubt you want to be around all this gang and drug violence . It's bad for the community " he says in a serious tone . I give him a mocking look .
He had some damn nerve talking about some bad for the community.
"Actually this neighborhood is pretty quiet and there's been no break ins since we've built the building " the lady says Von snaps his neck at her and mugs .
"Do you live here ? " he asks her . She looks down and stays quiet . He so damn petty . I pull him over to the side and look at him .
"What is up with you ? " I asks him .

"I am supporting Kennedy , im not trying to have my best friends sister in no crazy ass neighborhood full of thugs "

"My point exactly, why would they let me in here they know im wanted in two states " he says . I sigh and palm my face then give him a blank stare . "Okay fine , I don't want you to leave Kennedy . Im enjoying you staying with me " he says . I knew that might have been the reason .
"You know this apartment is great for couples also " the lady chimes in .
"Would you shut the hell up lady ! " Von snaps . Lord he needs some manners
"Tina would you give us a second ? " I asks nicely and she nods and walks off . "Von I know it's been fun but I gotta snap back into reality . This little staycation at your house is temporary " I tell him
"But it don't have to be "
"What about when Durk gets out ? " I asks . He looks away and sighs .
"We not in no way type of form being intimate and we're not together so I don't see a problem "
"Boy please we're practically married " I joke and he laughs . "Look we don't have to look at anymore today , but I do have to move out soon "
"Okay fine " he huffs " not this place tho , I'm finna murk Her ass " he says side eyeing Tina . I laugh at him and then push him towards the door .
I say goodbye to her and go to the car .
"Let's go get something to eat" he says .
"But I'm tired " I whine
"Cmon I know your fat ass hungry " I smack his arm and roll my eyes . It's true but He didn't have to say it .
"Okay but it has to be quick " I say and he nods making a u-turn . "Hey I figured out my other two questions " I say .
"Huh ?" He questions "oh from this morning ? "
"Yeah can I ask them ?"

"Fighting demons " he shrugs . For some reason I feel like he wasn't joking . "It made you uncomfortable? " he asks
"Nah I was just wondering , you sleep cute " I smile a little .
"Stop complimenting me , making me feel like a bitch . Smiling and shit " he scoffs I laugh at him and watches as he parks in front of baby als chicago dog .
"Ouu look at you spoiling me " I joke .
"Yeah aight it's funny until you taste they hot dogs " he says getting out the car . We walk in and the owner speaks to him and daps him up.
"Von how you doing son ?"
"Good foe " Von smiles .
"See you got a pretty girl today how you doing ?" The guy asks
"Good , I'm Kennedy " I smile shaking his hand
"Al " he greets "What you do to get this one to settle down ?" He asks referring to Von .
"Oh we're not- "
"Al let me get one of dem hot dogs and a burger , oh and some fries . What you want ? " Von asks cutting me off . I couldn't tell if he did it on purpose so I just look at the menu and ponder .
"Uhmmm " I start " what's good ?" I asks him . He looks down at me and licks his lips .
"Al get her a hot dog some fries and a luh shake or sumn " he says then looks at him . Al looks at us and starts to laugh . Vons lil hood accent made my knees weak as hell. All my morals go out of the door just hearing his voice . I gotta hurry up and move out before something goes completely left .
"It's on the house " al tells him .
"Preciate you my boy " Von nods and then wraps his arms around my shoulder leading me to the back of the place to sit down .
"Why didn't you have to pay ? " I asks him
"Because he look out for me . Every since I was younger he gave me free food let me work a lil bit to . Shit he really gave me the start up money for this drug dealing shit " he tells me and I laugh "he don't know that part though "
"Speaking of that , have you thought anymore about stopping that life and doing something else ? " I ask him . He shakes his head no and looks away . "Why not ? "
"Cause nobody going to go for that shit , it ain't broke so why fix it " he shrugs . I look at him seeing how unmotivated he is .
"Well none of the shoes in your closet are broken but you replace them all the time , none of your chains are broken but you have like six on , and the burger spots you go to ain't broken but you sitting in a hot dog spot " I say getting his attention " things don't have to be broken for you to want something better . "
He pauses and nods his head " Damn you be saying some real shit . You should rap " he tells me
"Tuh don't act like you ain't hear me in the booth before " I remind him and he starts laughing
"Oh yeah you right , nevermind you shouldn't rap " he laughs and I suck my teeth .

"Okay well make some moves now so that when he get out y'all can just go do it , duh "
He starts smiling and sticks his hand out , I give him a small dap and smile back . I felt like one of the guys , he is really becoming my friend . No matter how much he denies it .
