I slowly open my eyes looking straight at the sun coming in through the blinds . I yawn then stretch and and look at my surrounding seeing I was laying on a couch that I wasn't familiar with .
"Shit " I mumble seeing I was still at Vons house . I don't even remember falling asleep last night . Plus I haven't called or texted Daniel since I left the burger spot . I know he's probably blowing up my phone .
"You want some breakfast ?" I hear a raspy voice ask . I look up and see a shirtless von with sleep all on his face .
"Damn you fine " I blurt out then quickly cover my mouth . He starts laughing and I shake my head "what happened last night ?" I ask him
"Oh my god I didn't sleep with you did I ?" I ask frantically after seeing how long it was taking him to answer .
"What time of the day do you talk the least ?" He asks sitting down on the couch across from me . I roll my eyes and look at my phone seeing it was dead
"Daniels going to beat my ass " I sigh and he starts chuckling
"That nigga couldn't beat a fucking lady bug " he shakes his head "we didn't fuck though - "
"Thank god " I groan
He frowns and licks his lips "don't act like you wouldn't have remembered it " he says and I smile a little . The little things he does makes my stomach feel all tense . "And after you made me my second sandwich yesterday I was eating and your big head ass fell asleep on my shoulder so I laid you down and gave you a cover " he shrugs "speaking of , can you make one for breakfast , a nigga is hungry "
"No I can't ! I gotta get home . Daniels probably worried sick "
"Yea yeah allat but about that sandwich " he says and I roll my eyes at him
"I can't believe I stayed here , what was I thi- "
"Shut up real quick " he says and I look at him like he was crazy . He picks up his phone to answer it . He's so Damn rude . "talk to me " he answers
"Damn forreal " he says after the person on the other line talks for a while . "So what can we do? "
"Aight bet " he hangs up and looks at me . "That was juju , he got some info on Durk "
"Really ? Is he okay ? " I ask getting up going to sit by von . He scoots over before he starts to speak again . I swear he's annoying
"They found a gu- " he stops to look at me "Uhm long story short he ain't snitch so they setting him a court date a week from now "
"What you mean by snitch ? Who was they asking him about ? "I ask knowing the answer
"Girl you know they was asking about me " he rolls his eyes .
"So hes going to be locked up for a week? "
"Yeah but when he goes to court they gone grant him with a bond and Imma get him out. They do the same shit everytime " he tells me .
"What If they don't ?" I ask . He looks at me and starts to think . I could tell he wasn't even thinking about what could go wrong . What if this time they kept him ? The police is tired of all these upcoming thugs roaming the streets , I know they ready to lock one up forever in a minute and I don't want that to be my brother .
"Ken we can't think like that " he says softly . "My twin gone get out and we all gone be straight " he nods
I give him a small smile and nod my head . "Who would have thought " I start " me and you comforting each other becoming friends " I laugh
"Haha " he fake laughs "to far " he says and I hit him . "Are you gone cook ? " he asks
"Boy do I look like a maid to you ? " I asks and he looks me up and down causing him to get smacked upside the head again .
"Girl you gone stop hitting me " he points
"Anyways "I roll my eyes "I gotta get home "
"David can wait . He already think you cheating on him anyways , one more sandwich not gone hurt "
"Von I'm not making your fat ass anoth-" I stop realizing what he said "why would he think I'm cheating ? "
"Sweetie " he laughs sarcastically "you left with a real nigga like me , in a real nigga car , and ain't been home all night . Tuh he definitely think you cheating " he explains . Damn he got a point .
"Do you got a charger ?" I ask him . I have to at least call Daniel. After that blow up at the job, I hope daniel didn't think I was cheating . Yeah I didn't come back home , call or text back , and left with vo-. Aw shit he probably does think I'm cheating . Plus I'm not having sex with him , I know he think im giving it to someone else .
"In the back room " he points . I walk to the back of the house and enter a room . It was super clean and had everything in order . On the top of the dresser I spot a charger so I walk over to get it . A loose picture catches my eye so I pick it up
I look at it for a few seconds then walk back out the room . "Someone had a glo up " I laugh looking at von while he was rolling up a blunt on the couch .
"What you talking about ? "He asks
"That picture on your dresser "
"Damn you nosey " he scoffs " that's my sister " he says . I thought it was one of his ex girlfriend's or something.
"Sister ? " i questions and he nods "how come she never around you and your little thug friends ?" I asks and he starts to laugh .
"Thug friends ? " he shakes his head "but because she gone fuck around and start talking to one to much and end up kissing him then sleeping on his couch making him sandwiches and shit " he says . I mug him and he bust out laughing .
"Hmmm guess who won't be getting anymore sandwiches "
"Bro chill " he stops laughing . "It was a joke sensitive ass "
I see my phone cut on and I hurry up and call Daniel seeing that he's already called me multiple times . As it rings Von starts to walk up to me . I put my finger up and shush him .
"If you don't make me a sandwich imma yell your name loud as fuck " he whispers and I swing on him causing him to step back . He petty as hell I knew he would really do it .
"Kennedy ?! " Daniel answers the phone
"Yeah hey babe " I say
"Where the hell have you been all night , you ain't see me calling you ? " he asks In a angry tone
"Look my brother got arrested- " I stop seeing von counting down from five on his fingers . He got down to two and he opened his mouth . I hurried up and muted the phone before he screamed "okay I'll make it now shut up " I grit through my teeth . He smiles and walks away
"Kennedy ? " Daniel calls out
"Yeah I'm here , I was saying - "
"You know what save it ." He starts "I've been trying to be patient with you but I'm done Kennedy . You wanna run around the streets with thugs then do that . "
"Daniel that's not what it is I just - "
"Holding out on me but fucking him !" He yells . My phone was loud enough for Von to hear and he made a face " your stuff will be in the break room at the job , goodbye Kennedy " he says then hangs up
I sat my phone down and then sigh . I guess I do have time to make that sandwich after all .
