I picked up my phone making my crown fall .
" Hello " - my voice coming out broken .
" Scarlet where are you ? I hope you didn't do anything stupid . "- a scolding Mark responded .
" I - "- I stammer only bursting out in tears .
" Scarlet are you okay ? " - he rushed in asking .
" I - um - "- I feel chocked up and cough painfully .
" Scarlet ? Scarlet ! Where are you ? Scarlet talk to me , Scarlet please ... "-
I pick up my phone and place it on my ear .
" My - my * coughs * my old house . " - I ended the call lying still by my sister .
" I got a crown Janet , but You will always be the Queen of this family . "- I closed my eyes and hoped the harshness of the rain falling on my body will somehow relief me from the pain within me .
" My life is a mess and I need -* sniff * Allah . I need to speak to dad , don't you think . ---To thank him for ruining my life . For scarring me till eternity , for making my heart bleed and lastly ---
making me lose my beloved mom and sister . "

" Scarlet ! Scarlet ! --- Scarlet ! " - I laid there still waiting for whoever called to come find me .
" Scarlet , what's wrong with you ! Get up , " - Beatrice embraced me helping me get up but shook my head ; I needed to be here .
" Please Scarlet , let's get you into warmth . "- Kelvin begged beside me .
" If you don't get up then we're staying here with you . " - Mark stubbornly remarked with the rest taking a seat around me .
" We're sorry for everything that's happened , " - Beatrice comforted with a caress .

" There'll always be our creator to guide us , he plans for everything; he's the master planner after all . You just have to have faith , "- Mark

" And I'm not joking , i understand you ; we all need the creator in our lives . I understand that , we all have problems since no one is perfect . For instance , due to the experiments my parents performed on me , it made my white teeth permanently bright white , I guess it was benefit or something since they were able to suck out the dangerous ones . Negative side ; everything gets stuck in between them and it's so faustrating ! "- Kelvin cried out .
I smiled at his plight and made Jared help me sit up .
" I've tried everything to fix it you know , I didn't work so I made it a part of my life . I learnt to live with it . " He continued with a smile . I remember saying he had blinding teeth the day we first met .
Jared - " We all have our problems that we deal with but that doesn't mean it's the end of our lives . For instance ; after my parents dumped me in a dumpster , I got an infection in my respiratory system which prevented me from being able to breathe in the too much smoke , perfume * smiles sadly * anything apart from oxygen I guess but I learnt to live with it . Maya - " Well * tears slips *- I didn't get to see my parents because I was left at the door step with this * pointing to her hair * my hair has been grey since birth and I've haven't been given any explanation * sniff * we all go through things but our loved ones help us . I sobbed as they engulfed me with in a group hug .
" Thank you , " - I mumbled crying .
" Now stop crying because you're making us cry , " - Beatrice and Maya sobbed in unison .
Beatrice - " i - when I got * sniff * when my family and I got into an accident , I broke the bones in my feet leaving me paralyzed . Scarlet things happen but they happen to make the future better I believe . My family's Little fortune we had was used for my metal replacement . "-
I hugged her " I'm so sorry " --- I mumbled .
" It's all right Scarlet , I've learnt to live with it as well . " - she sobbed back .
" You guys are making me cry too ~ " - Kelvin exclaimed crying .
I smiled playfully hitting his arm .
Mark - " I - * clears throat * when I decided to leave the Porcupine gang , they got angry , devastated and decided to pay me back so I could forever remember my mistakes , they slashed my back in a P , scarring me till eternity but it didn't work , apparently someone saved me . * Points to his covered scar . *

Mark - " it's alright , it is a pretty cool scar after all ; don't you think ? "- he joked . " We need to get out of the rain Scarlet , please . " - he continued getting up .
He smiled with his stretched hand and with tears I took it and seeked help from him as he took me to the front porch .
" You're a great sister , Scarlet and nobody is saying otherwise . I mean I'm sure she was happiest with you around . " - Kelvin hugged .
" T- th - thank you " - I tried calming down .
" Ok you guys are making this seem as though I'm a heartless person . " - he remarked headings towards the rain. He fetched some and poured it into his eyes.
" Now , we're all crying ! " - he joked .
" * Sniffs * thank you all . "- I whispered .
" You're welcome , Scarlet - ermm - we also think you should hear your adoptive mom out . "- Beatrice advised .
" Yes Scarlet , things might get cleared up if you hear her out . I know you love her and so does she ; think about how she must be feeling right now . "- Kelvin joined .
" Let's go home then , shall we ? "- Jared smiled holding out his hand .
I nodded while I took his hand , walking in the rain as we climbed in the car .
30 minutes later .
They walked me in as I was immediately engulfed in a hug by Phoebe .
" Scarlet ! " - she exclaimed with a smile .
" Thank you " - Blonde lady showed her gratitude to my friends as she bid them farewell .
" Phoebe , could you please excuse your sister and I for a second . " -
Phoebe nodded with a smile and headed upstairs .
" It's not what it looks like Scarlet , " - she began wiping my fallen tears away .
" Then tell me what it looks like , " - I whispered as she gestured for me to take my seat .
" Your dad didn't tell me he was married and I didn't - I wouldn't even think of having an affair with him . He married me . I - * sighs with a sniff * I didn't know he was like that . He ... "- she paused to look at me in silent tears .
" I'll * calms down * I'll be fine , continue . " - I nodded .
" He had anger issues but he never took it far as to physical abuse. I found out he had another family when he got arrested . I got shattered and when I found out about his - * sniffs * disgusting acts , I seeked for a divorce and vowed to set you free and give you a better life. "- she stood up to console .
" But you took me to a foster home , "- I whispered .
" You'll get sick if you don't take off these clothes , "- she scolded helping me get dried up in my room .
I came out with fresh new clothes and sighed once I saw her seated on my bed.
" I wanted you to feel the love and care Miss . Summer showed me when I was under her guidance . Sebastian had changed you so much so I decided to keep you there for sometime before I came for you , you would have at least softened . "- she explained with a smile

" Thank you for not abandoning me . Thank you for the second chance ;... Thank you for everything blonde lady " - I sobbed in between her arms .
" No need , thank you rather for helping me rectify a mistake . "- she caressed my hair .
" * Sniff * come on now , I'll keep your crown here . You should go to sleep since tomorrow begins your first day of vacation , "- she came back and tucked me in.
" Goodnight Scarlet , "- she kissed my forehead and carefully shut the door .
