You sat on the bed watchig Aphmau cry.
You sighed and facepalmed at her actions.
"Ahhh! This is a nightmare....I just wanted free breadsticks Celestia...Thats it! I-I don't even knowww...Whyyyy!"
You hopped off the bed and patted her head.
"Come on Aph! Your being dramatic. Kissing Aaron won't be that bad!"
"Yes it will Y/N! You don't get it! Trust me, when you get older and the boys fall all over you...You'll be feeling the same way as I do!"
"Psh...No I won't. Loves for suckers!" You smirked, sticking out your tongue.
Aphmau pouted at you making you smiled.
Once you, Aphmau, and Zane got to the community center you rolled your eyes at Aphmaus groaning.
"Were here." She scoffed.
"Whats with that look on your face? I thought you wanted to have this place for...Reasons." Zane scoffed.
"Yes, I wanted this play to happen cause I wantes to held Katelyn...But I didn't think I was going to get THIS involved."
"This always happens to you."
"Hes kinda right." You smiled, putting your hands in your hoodie pockets.
Your hair was in a ponytail with a little bit of it in your face.
You wore some jeans and a F/C sweatshirt with some tennis shoes.
"No...Really?"
"See? This is why you shouldn't have friends.
You end up getting roped into crazy situations then you feel awkward to say no to and then you end up having to kiss some guy in a play."
"Tch...Jealous~?" Aphmau smirked.
"W-WHAT!?" Zane blushed.
You laughed lightly as did Aphmau.
"Ahahaha!"
"I'm not the jealous type. Though I know it runs in my family..."
"You can say that again..." Aphmau sighed.
You nodded Garroth does seem to get upset when someone else likes Aphmau.
"If I want something, I'd just take it." Zane glared.
"Oh! Hmm...Then why haven't you taken the limited-edition Celestia and Luna dolls that I promised you at the end of this Hmm~?"
"Mmph...Because, They're yours..." Zane pouted.
"Oh. So you do--"
"JUST DROP IT!" Zane yelled.
"Aww! Zanes a sweetie!" You smiled, hugging him.
"Fine! I'm just teasing you. Wait...So why are you here then?"
"I wanted to see the others make fools of themselves...."
"Ehe....Well you've come to the right place. I'm going to be the biggest fool of them all."
"I didn't even know you liked Theatre."
"Well...I took it in high school for 2 years. I was in a few plays such as 'Lucky Stiff Hamlet' and 'Bye Bye Birdie'."
"I've never heard of those plays before..." You mumbled.
"Their alright. I had some fun doing them so..." Aphmau shrugged.
"Really?" Zane questioned.
"Yeah but...I was always an understudy for a main role. Then I played multiple roles sometimes but this will be my first time in a lead position and I'm just---"
"I'm sure you'll do fine."
"Mhm! Katelyn wouldn't have picked you if you weren't good." You smiled.
"I'm still nervous. Just because you've been on stage doesn't mean you're completely free of stage fright. I mean, it happens from time to time."
"Whats stage fright?" You questioned.
"Oh. Its like...A fear of preforming infront of crouds." The thought of being on stage infront of people made your stomach churn.
"I-I think I have that..." You shivered.
"I see...Does it have anything to do with the kiss?" Zane questioned.
"Uhhhhh...."
"I won't even ask then. Hm...But maybe I'll audition~"
"Wait...WHAT!?" Aphmau yelped.
Zane chuckled quietly under his breath.
"No---Wait...Zane! You wouldn't!"
"Ahahaha!"
"Zane!"
"Sheesh! Aphmau...What is it you said before? 'I'm just teasing you'?" Zane mocked.
"Oh...Good."
"Hm? Ah. I need to step out for a second, I'll be at the auditions in a second."
"Okay...Wait...Does that mean your gonna be audition or just showing up?" Aphmau questioned.
"Ahaha! We'll see~" Zane cackled before walking off.
"I hate him sometimes..." Aphmau growled.
"Aphmau, your hurting me." You called, as Aphmau squeezed your hand.
"Ah! Sorry Y/N! Ugh...I feel so congested!" Aphmau groaned.
"You need to blow?" You questioned.
"Nah. I'll be fine." Aphmau smiled.
Then you both saw Brendan and walked over to him.
"Hey Aphmau! Hey Y/N!" He greeted.
"Are you auditioning?"
"Yup! I sure am! Not for Romeo though, I want to try and go Friar Lawrence, the one who helps Romeo and Juliet."
"Really? I didn't realize you were into theatre."
"Doesn't seem like your type." You smiled.
"I'm not, but I figured this play was going to be a mature enough that maybe I can learn to roll. I mean, if it's involving everyone in the neighborhood then it's definitely amateur. I mean not to knock anyone.... but I just don't think we have actors in the neighborhood."
"Katelyn had mentioned that if there wasn't enough actors then she was going to ask friends too! So, you might wanna take that into consideration."
"Mhm!"
"Oh really? Well, that's great! I think my chances for the role have gone down then...Heh, Oh well I'll still try! It should be fun!" Brendan smiled, ruffling your head.
You giggled as you and Aphmau walked off.
"I wish some of these people are auditioning for my role..." Aphmau pouted.
"Don't talk like that. You'll make a great Juliet!" You smiled.
"I guess--Huh? Hey! Reese! How are you?"
"Hey Aphmau! Hello Little Y/N! Congrats on getting the role of Juliet!"
"Uh...Hehe! Thanks!"
"I wonder who your Romeo was going to be. You know I played Romeo in a play not too long ago."
"What? You did!?"
"I sure did. McCloud was Mercutio and Marsh was Capulet."
The two kept talking as you thought if you should audition or not.
There aren't any kids in the play so finding a role for you would be hard.
Maybe you should just stick to being Co-Director for now.
"Okay well, I hope you get the part you want Reese!"
"Same to you Lady Juliet!" Reese smiled.
"Thanks! Okay...Might as well go up and get ready for the auditions hm?" Aphmau smiled nervously.
"It'll be fine Aphmau. I promise!" You reassured.
"I hope your right." Aphmau sighed.
You sat in your chair next to Katelyn trying to look serious.
"Alright! Listen up! Were going to cast the role of Romeo first!"
"Yes! Casting Romeo first!" You repeated.
"As you all know our lovkey Aphmau is playing Juliet!"
"Mhm! Aphmau plays Juliet!"
"Heeey..."
"Now, we're taking this play in a whole new direction!" You nodded.
"Instead a reading the old script by William Shakespeare were going to be doing a whole new interpretation of it. One I've written myself."
"Huh!? Bring it! Uh...Wheres the script."
"There is no script!" You smiled innocently.
"Yup! Me and Y/N are going to cast you based on three things. Talent, the ability to improv, and most importantly of all how well you please the audience!"
"What!? Why is that a factor!?"
"Its a factor BECAUSE I want to produce more plays for the neighborhood! If this play goes well and is well received, and it's possible that we will be so big on opening night that there will be a bigger demand on more plays and that would be awesome!" Katelyn squealed.
"Ahem...So. Just keep that in mind."
"Yadada... we're just delaying the inevitable...So what's the scene will be in imporving?"
"The balcony scene....Duh."
"Called it."
"Now, you will all try and improv that scene with Aphmau best one and best croud pleaser gets the part. Aphmau, can you go stand on the balcony?"
"U-Uhm Katelyn? About my role...Shouldn't others be able to auditon for the role of Juliet? Not...Just have me do it?"
"Your the reason people are even auditioning! I can't risk not having you is Juliet and then losing everyone!"
"Ugh...I'm doing this for bread sticks..." Aphmau chanted.
"Alright! First up, Dante."
"DAZZLE ME!" You grinned.
"What am I supposed to do?"
"Improv the scene in modern times!"
"Uhm...Okay!" Dante took out his phone making you facepalm and shake your head while Katelyn yelled, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"
"I'm texting her!" Dante smiled.
"Text me back my bright angel." Aphmau spoke.
"Uh--Dude, this is a creepy text..."
"Is it even more creepy than them in the bushes texting you?" Dante scoffed.
"Wow...OKAY! THIS PLAY IS GETTING A LITTLE TO DEEP KATELYN!" Aphmau called.
"NEXT!" Katelyn yelled.
Zane walked up making you jolt.
"Zane!? Your auditioning for Romeo!?" Katelyn yelled.
"Romeo? No. I just got here. I want to part of Thibault..."
"He would make a good Villan..." You whispeared.
"Oddly enough! You got the part! Your perfect for it..."
"Really? I thought you hated me."
"I do. Which is why your perfect. Plus Y/N was able to vouch for you." "Hi Zane!" You waved.
"Next!" Katelyn yelled.
Zane growled and walked off the stage mumbling under his breath.
"With love's light wings did I have per these walls...For stony limitd cannot hold love out and what love can do that dares love attempt therefore thy kinsmen are no led to me..."
"Next!" You called sweetly.
"WHAT!?"
"I said to MODERNIZE the play...I love old scriptures as much as the next person but lets face it! If it weren't for your soothing voice no one from this generation would know what you were saying. Exibit A." Katelyn mumbled, pointing to you.
"I've got no clue what was going on!" You beamed.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO!? TEXT HER!? OH HOW ROMANTIC IS THAT? LOL HI JULIET! I LOVE SAUCE YOU! SMILEY FACE!" Garroth growled.
You heard a ding on his phone making him growl.
"TRAVIS!" He yelled, stalking off stage.
"Not soft! What light through yonder window breaks...It is the east...and Juliet is the sun and a beauty never before seen to take the darkness from my heart which is already pale and filled with greif...See how graceful she is as she lays her hand upon her cheek! Oh that I were to hold her cheek in mine hand..."
"I me..." Aphmau responded blankly.
"She speaks! Oh what's such a beautiful voice!"
"Oh Romeo...Romeo...Wherefore art thou you be at this hour Romeo? I not see you active on skype! As thy beyond busy mode..."
You laughed as Katelyn shut it down.
"Stop! Stop! Aphmau, what was that!?"
"You never gave me the script Katelyn so I'm improving! Modern. Times. Stuff."
"Ugh...This might as well be a romantic comedy where this is going. Laurance thank you."
"Great job!" You praised.
"Next!" Katelyn yelled.
Travis walked on stage as you smiled brightly ready for his turn.
Just then alot of girls came up front making you jump.
"Huh!? Who are these people!?" Katelyn questioned.
"Just some lovley ladies I invited~ They were all cast members in my previous plays of Romeo and Juliet...Hey girls~!" Travis called.
They started screaming making you cover your ears.
"Get em' Travis!" You heard Dante call.
"I-Is this aloud?" You mumbled.
"Juliet...My heart cannot take this loneliness any longer. For endless nights....I've dreamed of thee. My name...I toss aside at the chance to dance....In the heavens with you~" You smiled.
"Hes good!" You whispeared to Katelyn.
"Wow...Travis~ That was---Uh-Ahem! Sorry...Thank you Travis. Next!" Katelyn called.
You held a thumbs up at him.
Aaron walked up on stage making your tail wag.
He should be good at this!
"Juliet--" Aaron started.
"Uh--Aaron? I'm sorry to interrupt...But can you take off your hood and mask? I need to see your emotions."
"Uh...I don't think hes comfortable with that..." You mumbled.
"Oh? Oh...Sure. Don't worry Y/N, Its not a big deal." Aaron smiled, taking off his hoodie and his mask.
The croud went wild making your ears fall at all the sounds.
They were loud.
But Aaron is a croud pleaser!
"THIS CROUD IS GOING WILD! YOU'VE GOT THE PART AARON! BRING THIS KIND OF ENERGY TO THE PLAY AND OPENING NIGHT WILL BE A HIT!"
"But I didn't even get to say anything..." Aaron scoffed.
"Y-You still did good!" You smiled, covering your ears from the yelling.
You saw Aphmaus face turn red as she mumbled things under her breath.
This play was going to be...Intresting.
