The next morning Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and I used the Floo powder to go to Diagon Alley. Again, I haven't talked to Hermione or Ginny ever since last night. Fleur decided not to join us because she didn't want to face Ginny.
Diagon Alley was dark, the old happy vibes it had were destroyed. Many stores went out of business since a group of death eaters attacked them. One store however was thriving. Laughter filled the vibrantly colored store, The Weasley twin's joke shop.
"STEP UP STEP UP!" The Weasley twins shouted from the middle of the store as we walked in. Around us, there were many different things for sale, candies, potions, charmed objects. The store was filled mostly with students from Hogwarts, a couple I recognized.
We all looked around the store amazed. The business was an obvious success. We separated looking around different things at the store walking towards anything that caught our attention. Hermione, Ginny, and I made our way towards a lit up pink shell stand. Inside the pink stand were tiny pink potions.
"Love potions," Hermione said with a small smile looking up at me, "pretty cool right?"
"Yeah, I guess so" I replied with a quick smile. It was pretty awkward between us even though nothing specific had happened. Just the thought of her disliking my sister made me uncomfortable around her.
"Hello ladies" The Weasley twins spoke in unison walking towards Hermione Ginny and I.
"Love potions eh? They really do work"
"Then again from what we hear sis, you're doing just fine on your own"
"Meaning?" Ginny asked placing the love potion back inside the shell stand.
"Are you not currently dating Dean Thomas?"
"It's none of your business" She smiled before walking away.
"You too Evelyn, what's the deal between you and Harry?" Fred asked winking at me.
"Shut up," I said rolling my eyes placing the potion back on the stand. The Weasley twins winked at me in unison before walking away towards another student revealing a boy smirking at me. I've seen that boy before, his family works at the ministry, Cormac McLaggen. Hermione noticed him staring at me and quickly pulled me away into another crowd of students.
"Cormac McLaggen, stay away from him. He's a total jerk" She muttered.
"Yeah" I replied with a small smile.
"About your sister Fleur- I'm sorry," She said taking a deep breath.
"Sorry about what exactly?" I said crossing my arms. I know what she's sorry about and she should be, but I wanted to hear it from her.
"For mistreating her"
"How so?"
"Just- you get what I mean"
"No, I don't"
"For calling her Phlegm, talking behind her back and ignoring her" She blurted out. I stared at her for a bit not replying. I could tell she was nervous, before she spoke she would take long deep breaths.
"Thanks but you should apologize to Fleur not me" I said finally breaking the silence. Honestly, I expected better from both Hermione and Ginny. At least Hermione apologized.
"I know I will. I'll talk to Ginny too"
"Evelyn, Hermione" Ron called out walking towards us with Harry. Once Harry's eyes met mine, a smile appeared on both of our faces almost immediately.
"Let's get out of here" Ron muttered pulling us out.
"Hi Ron" Ron and I turned to see a girl named Lavander Brown waving at him smiling.
"Hi" Ron replied awkwardly before walking out of the store again.
"She totally fancies you" I whispered.
"Me? No, no, she probably just wants to be friends with me to get closer with Harry" He replied shrugging. I furrowed my eyebrows at him but didn't reply, I don't exactly know what to say to that.
"How's Fred and George doing it? Half the alley's closed down" Hermione exclaimed.
"Something to go through rough times I guess," I said as we walked towards Ollivanders.
"Oh no, everyone got their wands here" Hermione sighed looking at the shop. The windows were all cracked and it was a mess in general. When we walked inside wand boxes and papers were everywhere.
"Harry" Ron nudged Harry slightly, "Is it me or does Draco and his mum look like two people who don't want to be followed?"
I quickly turned around at the mention of Draco's name and stood beside Ron. Outside, Draco and Narcissa made their way to a dark alley. Draco looked terrified like he didn't want to follow her.
"Come on" Harry whispered motioning us to follow.
We slowly walked out of Ollivanders and followed Draco and Narcissa in the dark alley. Harry grabbed my hand walking fast down the alleyway, it was thin and dark. Along the way, crazy people were talking to walls or just lost in their own world.
Narcissa and Draco continued walking until they reached Borgin Burkes in knockturn Alley, filled with wizarding artifacts. Draco hesitated before walking in but followed Narcissa in and out of our sight.
"Over here," Harry said climbing a roof to spy on the two as we followed him up laying flat on the roof. Multiple death eaters started to walk in including Fenrir Greyback, a werewolf that had escaped from Azkaban. He was known for being a leader of a group that tried to infect as many people as possible and for his preference for attacking children.
Inside, Draco was examining some sort of antique cabinet. Narcissa stayed by his side at all times holding his hand. I pulled myself back up when Greyback suddenly turned to face us. Harry quickly pulled me back down behind the roof. I slowly peeked back up to check if Greyback had seen me. He didn't seem to have noticed anything, instead just closed the curtains covering the inside of the store.
"What do you think that was about?" Hermione said sighing.
"They're death eaters, isn't it obvious?" Harry said furrowing his eyebrows.
"Harry, he's not a death eater," I said rolling my eyes at him.
"Evelyn, you just saw what happened"
"He's a Malfoy, that's just a normal daily occurrence for him. That doesn't mean he's a death eater"
"Well, what would he be doing in Borgin Burkes with all the death eaters?"
"I don't know Harry, but I'm with Evelyn for this one" Ron said from beside him.
"Let's just go back to the burrow," I said sighing.

When Hermione, Ginny, and I walked back inside our room, Fleur quickly sat up straight smiling at us again. Ginny didn't care and walked towards her bed while Hermione stood still nervously. I crossed my arms and walked towards my bed to get changed into my pajamas. Inside I was truly hoping Hermione would apologize.
"Hi Fleur," She said taking a deep breath and quickly rushing to her bed next to Ginny.
"Hi Hermione" Fleur replied suspiciously, "What's up with her?" she asked turning to face me.
"No idea"
"Fleur-" Hermione called out as Fleur's eyes shot up towards her, "I er.. Goodnight"
Everyone's eyes were on Hermione, even Ginny, she looked up at her extremely confused.
"Goodnight Hermione" Fleur replied with a smile. She quickly turned to face me furrowing her eyebrows to which I just shrugged.
"Did you put her under the imperious curse?" She whispered to me in French.
"Of course not" I whispered back laying beside her.
"Well besides that, remember to write to me when you go back to Hogwarts tomorrow"
"I will don't worry"
"And also, are you and Harry Potter dating?"
"What?" I said a little too loud gaining Ginny and Hermione's attention.
"So you are?" Fleur said laughing.
"No, it's kind of complicated"
"Yeah? How so?"
"He kissed me, told me he fancies me and I fancy him too"
"So you guys are dating?"
"No"
"So you snogged, told each other your feelings, but you guys aren't dating?"
"Well, yeah"
"Evelyn, coming from your older sister-" Fleur said rolling her eyes, "Just ask him to be your boyfriend. I don't see what the problem is?"
"Goodnight Fleur," I said not replying to her and turning away.
"Goodnight Evelyn" She replied hugging me. I smiled a little, I haven't seen Fleur for a whole year and she seemed so happy with Bill... So in love. I couldn't help but wish that one day that would be me. So madly in love that the mention of their name will brighten my day, not being able to see my future without them.
