I couldn't stop these tears. I've been embarrassed before but why won't the tears not stop! It's because my dream profession just made me look like an idiot. I run through to the elevator as the secretary yelled out to me.
"You can't go up there!" She yelled catching the attention of the security guard.
The elevator door then opened as I rush to Jane's office with the security catching up. I bust open the door with tears in my eyes as I see Jane and a familiar guy...

"Your what?" He says.
"Kate, this is your boss, Leo Atlas" Says Jane to me.
"You mean ex-boss. I think I was just fired" I say.

"Adelyn dismissed me" I say.
"Adelyn may be head of the department of sales but she doesn't have the authority to fire anyone" Says Leo.
"Come Kate. Let's go home" Says Jane as she grabs her coat.
"We'll be in touch" Says Leo as he left the office.
"It's mid-day. Is it okay for you to leave?" I ask.

"Is it really okay for your employees to see you holding the hand of another woman?" I say.
"You're not a woman, you're a girl and I'm the boss" She teased.
"You're the boss" I say to her as we exit the elevator gaining the stares of everyone around us.
We head to her car as she drove.
"Where are we going? " I ask her.
"To the grocery. There's some stuff I gotta pick up" She says.
"Will there be ice cream?" I say with my baby face on.

We arrive at the grocery as I accompany her.

"I'M a man of acquired taste, if I send my minions then there's a 75% chance they'll bring me the wrong groceries" She says as she leads me to the ice cream section.
"Oh yay. Ice cream" I say excitedly.

"Here" I say as I give her the ice cream.
"Put it in the trolley" She says.
"It's for you" I say.
"I don't want ice cream" She says.
"It's vanilla. Your new favorite flavour" I say teasing her.
"Let's see how naughty you can get tonight because I'm going to fuck you so hard" She says as she drops the ice cream in the trolley and snickered.

"Have you eaten lunch?" She says.

"Very well cereal it is" She says pulling out a box of cereal from the groceries.
"That's not lunch Ms. Connor" I say to her.
"Brunch? Same difference" She says.

She grabbed a knife and started cutting onions while I stare at her. She looked so happy. Was it because she was getting sex later or was it because of me? "I'm not going back there. I don't even want to see that man's face" I say.
"Cause you only have eyes for me?" Says Jane.
"No. He's an idiot" I tease.
"Well maybe your luck will turn" She says as her phone begins ringing.
"I doubt it" I say as Jane excuses herself to go answer the phone.

She then returned after a few minutes.
"See your luck had turned" Says Jane.
"How so?" I ask.
"Leo has requested a meeting with you tomorrow morning" Says Jane.
"A meeting? Jane what did you do?" I ask.
"I did nothing" She says.
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"I'm sure babe" She says as she kisses my forehead.
"I'm so nervous about going back there, I literally left crying. What will those people think of me? The girl that cracked under pressure" I say as I put my fork down.
"You shouldn't care about about what people think of you. If I did that then I wouldn't be a multi billionaire" She says as she smiled at me.
"You're right" I say smiling.
"Have you finished eating?" She asks.
"Yes" I say.
"Good" She says as she grabs wrist and starts to pull me towards the stairs.
"What are you doing?" I say as I followed her.
"It's time to hold up your end of the bargain" She says to me.
"Sex? Now? I thought we'd do that later" I say as we entered her bedroom.
