I stare happily at the newly acquired keys I have in my hand as I stand in the hallway out the front of my brand new apartment door. The small cherry blossom bells on the keychain lightly chime as I unlock the door.
At first I put down my bag and take off my shoes so that I can have a look around, the basic furniture is all here, all I have to do is grab my things and make it a bit more homely and cute. Lucky I arrived on the Friday morning so I have the weekend to deck out my new place.
I feel my phone vibrate from my pocket, the message lets me know the truck with all my things is down stairs. "Okay let's do this!" I excitedly whisper to myself.
The weekend goes by quickly, it's Sunday night and I am snuggled up on the balcony couch with my laptop. The night air is perfect, I can hear the faint sounds of the afternoon city bustle below but overall it's quite peaceful.
Everything I need to organise for Uni tomorrow is done, knowing that makes me feel a bit less nervous. I don't know what to expect in all honesty, would people be nice? Would I make any friends? I laugh nervously before shutting my laptop and going back inside.
Guess I won't know until I get there. I let the thoughts slip my mind and get ready for bed. Tomorrow was going to be the start of a new chapter in my life, that much I know.
